Microsoft AI Cortana may not seem to get frequent updates as compared with Alexa or Google Assistant but Microsoft keeps putting their focus make Cortana intelligence more than full filling user voice inputs needs. Microsoft Cortana already giving smarts suggestions inside Microsoft Edge when a user selects the text or performs certain actions, Cortana Scheduling action still better as compared with other assistants as when you want to send an email at a certain time and certain day Cortana does easily without any issue. Microsoft also panning to add Cortana intelligence in their Office 365 apps so the user can get assistant to keep track of their work and seamlessly reminds the user what should they focus on a certain time of the day. 

This time Microsoft adding voice options (including a male voice for the first time) as well as an integration with the Outlook app on iOS, according to a leaked video posted by Twitter user @h0x0d. New feature should also made its entrance with update to Cortana which coming later this year

Outlook adding a new feature like “Play My Emails” which gives us hint for adding voice option and other features. This feature will give a brief of your new mail which read by Cortana. Users can also perform an action according to mail without have to touch the device. 

Inside the leaked video, there is a “masculine” voice for the smart assistant, which gives us a clear hint that Cortana is getting a new voice. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t actually have any audio of what the new voice sounds like, so we’ll have to wait for Microsoft to formally release the feature.

Outlook in Windows device feature a “Briefing” mode which automatically generates daily synopsis of your mail and scheduling tools are present inside the app which help user to actively perform action according to their needs.

Microsoft is trying to put more emphasis on Cortana update rather than before to match competition with other assistants.
