Xiaomi Mi Mix: Now See More, Do More: The new sensation in the market is nothing other than the very impressive Xiaomi Mi Mix. On the very first boot of the Mi Mix after getting my Smartphone, I was the happiest man for that moment. It was a good feeling that was making a way all around me while using the Mi Mix. Featuring with a massive 6.4 inches – Square shaped screen, consuming HD photos & Videos is almost fantastic feeling. Some of you may also prioritize it above the Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus & Google’s very new one i.e. Pixel in terms of hardware composition along with a matte black finish just like the newly announced iPhone 7.
Xiaomi Mi Mix: Now See More, Do More:
On the three sides of the display, you will find no bezels. Though questions will definitely get raised regarding the speaker for taking calls & the proximity sensor placements. However, with the Mi Mix Xiaomi has managed to fulfill every user need through a sonar based sensor & with the placement of speaker below the display. The Mi Mix will be featuring a 6.4 inches of IPS LCD display having 91.3% screen to body ratio. Let’s take upon each & every aspect one by one now.
Design:
We are getting so much of display to look around our favorites with just a 209g of smartphone device. Although Mi Mix is featured with a 6.4 inches of display with no bezels on the three sides just one less all (four sides). The fulfillment for the proximity sensor & speaker have been arranged through the speaker being placed down the display & positioned accordingly. While a sonar based sensor have been inbuilt so as to keep a pace with the lacking proximity sensor features.
It has been building with ceramic giving it both an elegant look & a shiny appearance & that will attract you all for sure.

Display:
With the Mi Mix we are going to use yet another outstanding screen to body ratio smartphone & that is 91.3%. Yes that is true 91.3% you all have correctly heard that. Featuring an 6.4 inches of IPS LCD capacitive display with a resolution of 1080 x 2040. The visual effect crelates a jaw dropping effect while streaming any High Quality photo or video on the Mi Mix.
Hardware:
Power packed with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor that features both 4 GB RAM with 128 GB storage & 6 GB of RAM with 256 GB of storage. Another change will be seen through the speakers that are placed down there by the side of the USB-C port & sounding sufficiently good enough to entertain anyone. Even in a quiet noisy environment, it sounded very well as compared to other smartphone speakers in sense of quality as well as a quantity of sound.
As talked earlier also about the proximity sensor being replaced by a sonar detector, it does not create any problems for the users while on a call or using any app related to it.
Software:
The phone is powered by the latest Snapdragon 821 & using the Android v6.0 Marshmallow. The MIUI skin has been used Xiaomi evolves its operating system more frequently through feedback of users & the result is in front of all of us. The new drop down menus for notification also have more options & space now for custom settings. Though enough can be done with many applications & is a small taste of bigger feature called the Second Space. Overall the MIUI is an achievement with Android that will not interfere & change too much to the original OS of Google.
Camera:
The camera of the phone is nothing very excited to talk about as the primary one having a 16 MP with f/2.0 aperture while a front facing camera is of 5 MP. The unique thing about the device is the position of the front facing camera that is located below the screen down there this time. You might struggle sometimes taking selfies with the down positioned front facing the camera as it is interrupted by fingers operating the phone sometimes. So one will have to care of that while taking selfies.
Battery:
Powered backed by a 4400 mAh Nonremovable Li-ion battery is a good deal for the phone which can support it for a quality time. Also supported by the Quick Charge 3.0 it can get charged up to 75% by half an hour according to my usage. According to the company, it can be charged fully by around two and a half hours. So it is a nice pack of power with huge screen size for long term entertainment.
Overall Features:
- Eye-catching, shiny & sleek design.
- Bezel-less on 3 sides.
- Great processor Snapdragon 821.
- Available with 4 GB & 6 GB RAM.
- Excellent Power backup.
- Good display with 91.3% screen to body ratio.
Overall it is a good phone for a particular set of users those who like to enjoy & stream HD videos & have no compromise with the display size. With the Xiaomi Mi Mix, a new design in a range of smartphones has been introducing with the almost edgeless display. Future seems companies hopefully bringing more ideas & to be focused on fully edgeless display sooner or later.
