Xiaomi has avowed the fact that Mi 10 5G will make its debut in India on 31st March. Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro comes under the flagship line-up from the Chinese smartphone maker. Xiaomi had already launched the device in China the previous month on 13th of February while it is supposed to hit the European market on 27th March.

The foremost highlight of this premium device from Xiaomi is 108MP camera sensor and support for 5G. Let’s confer about this device in more detail.

Mi 10: Display

Mi 10 5G spots an 109.2cm (6.7”) Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with 16 million colors and screen to body ratio of 89.8% and screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels with pixel density of 386 pixels per inch(ppi) and aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with 90Hz refresh rate and support to stream HDR10+ content with maximum brightness of 500 nits and touch sampling rate of 180Hz, that makes the screen of this beauty an graceful beast with snappy performance. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Mi 10: Performance

Mi 10 is powered by latest flagship chipset from house of Qualcomm viz. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. This chipset is fabricated on 7nm process technology that makes it one of the most efficient chipsets out in the wild. It is an octa core chipset with 1x Kryo 585 clocked at 2.84GHz with 3x Kryo 585 cores clocked at 2.42 GHz alongside 4x Kryo 585 cores clocked at 1.80GHz. This chipset packs Qualcomm Spectra 480 ISP to give you crisp and clear shots no matter how harsh the conditions are.

The graphic rendering on the device would be handled by Adreno 650 GPU for smooth and lag free graphic performance. It is integrated with Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 modem to give you support of 5G with a maximum download speed of 7.5Gbps while peak uploading speed is declared to be 3Gbps.

Mi 10: Camera

Camera turns out to be protagonist on this device as it was the world’s first device to hold a 108MP camera sensor and now Xiaomi has decided to make it India’s first as well. The 108MP shooter is powered by Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor. The 108MP lens is based on F1.7 aperture with a pixel size of 1.33µm with support of PDAF i.e. Phase-Detect Auto Focus and support Optical Image Stabilization i.e. OIS

After 108MP primary sensor it packs three more cameras on rear end where a 13MP ultra-wide module is placed with F2.4 aperture and 2x 2MP camera both of them based on F2.4 aperture where one is focused for depth sensing while the other one is emetized for the purpose of macro photography. It also packs dual LED flashlight with dual-tone light. One can record 4k videos at 30FPS, 2k videos at 60FPS and 1080p videos at 60FPS with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS).

The front facing camera is packed inside the punch hole on the top left corner of the screen. It holds a 20MP sensor based on F2.0 aperture and a pixel size of 0.9µm. One can record videos of 1080p resolution at a frame rate of 30 frames per second.

Mi 10: Battery

Mi 10 packs a battery of 4780mAh and Xiaomi prerogatives that it can power the device for more than 2 days over moderate usage. It comes with support of fast charging upto 30W with fast charger in the box. It also supports Qi certified wireless charging and the matter of fact is the Mi 10 is world’s first device to pack supports of wireless charging upto 30W. It also supports reverse wireless charging upto 5W i.e. you can charge other devices or accessories using your Mi 10 with a power output range of 5W. It also supports Power Delivery 3.0 over USB Type-C.

Mi 10: Storage

This device will be available in three different variants viz. 8GB+128GB variant 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variant. All of the storage is based on UFS 3.0 technology that guarantees reading and writing of data at high speed.

Conclusion

Mi 10 will be divulged for Indian audience and consumers on 31st of March and going as per the global trends we would see three color variants as well namely Ice Blue, Peach Gold and Titanium Silver and the Chinese pricing of this premium flagship device from Xiaomi was around $899 but due to some changes in Taxation and Xiaomi imposing the fact that they have to import the whole lot of device from China instead of manufacturing in India we may see a surge increase in pricing of this device and we expect the device to cost above Rs. 50K instead of 40-45K expected segmentation.
