Updated New Version Of AirPods For The Next Year: KGI: In next year, we may see the new updated version of Apple’s AirPods as per the newly released report of KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Apple has launched the AirPods in 2016 and had faced issues in the supply of the AirPods, and currently, the company is still facing the same issue to some extent. However, for 2018, Kuo expecting the 100 percent growth and estimates that the shipment will reach to 28 million units.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the possible reason for the delay in supply of the device is related to the battery rigid-flex printed circuit boards.
In 2018, Apple will release new AirPower inductive charging case that was also announced by Apple and it makes very clear that Apple has some updates in the pipeline for its AirPods. Apple is currently working with Inventec for the manufacturing of AirPods and it also started working with Luxshare in order to manufacture AirPods so that the supply of the AirPods would meet the demand of the device.
However, it is not shared by the Kuo that what kind of changes we could expect in features and design of new AirPods. Apple will also launch AirPower mat that will have the capacity to charge an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods as well but its releasing year and price have not disclosed yet by the Apple.
