The Moto G4 Line Won’t Get Android Oreo Update As Promised: After knowing this thing most of the Moto G4 line smartphone users will hate the brand & it is for genuine reason this time as the company has made a promise for updating their line up to Android 8.0 Oreo but now it seems to be different scenario up there. As the company published a list of thier smartphones that will be getting update to Android Oreo, but unfortunately the G4 line up doesn’t make up to the list. Although during the launch of the device Motorola has also advertised Android N & O updates for thier G4 line of smartphones but as of now it seems wiping away.
Motorola Not Ready To Update Moto G4 Series Smartphones To Android Oreo:
Earlier Motorola has mentioned that at least its Moto G4 Plus will definitely recieve the Android Oreo update & said as “Moto Pure phones like the Moto G4 Plus will get upgraded to Android operation system versions N and O.” Motorola now seems to be falling behind in terms of their software support now & that all reflects as they just released its update roadmap for Android 8.0 Oreo & here is the list for the Moto Devices that will be getting an update to Android 8.0 Oreo:
- Moto G5
- Moto G5 Plus
- Moto G5S
- Moto G5S Plus
- Moto X4
- Moto Z
- Moto Z Droid
- Moto Z Force Droid
- Moto Z2 Force
- Moto Z Play
- Moto Z Play Droid
- Moto Z2 Play
And that’s pretty unfortunate to see Motorola giving up on such new phones like the G4 line up, even if they aren’t flagship-level. As advertised earlier now Moto has opted & changed its mind & that all shows as we all can see its changed same page of advertisement which earlier reflected a promising update to Android 8.0 for G4 series but now has been removed from the add.
Although Motorola has been known for its quick responses through earlier updates like it did it while getting the Moto X(2013) updated with Android 4.4 KitKat even before the Nexus 4 & the Moto X(2014) got Android 5.0 Lollipop before the Nexus 5, but unfortunately now the company doesn’t seems to be living up to its promises & rather looks involved in bringing up their newer smartphone models in the market on the earliest.
