Sony Unveils Its 3 New Xperia Smartphones At IFA 2017: As the brand itself is known for its excellent show out there at every IFA event, this time also Sony Mobile Communications has announced three new Smartphones in the series i.e Xperia XZ1 & Xperia XZ1 Compact in the flagship range while another one Xperia XA1 Plus in the super mid-range. The newly announced flagship devices from Sony will be replacing the XZ & Z Compact smartphones that were released last year.
The Xperia XZ1 & XZ1 Compact have been majorly powered with the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor & also their designs have been very much refined as the XZ1 will have a full metal frame. Both Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact combine advanced processing power with super-fast download speeds all wrapped up in a timeless premium design. While on the other end the XA1 Plus is designed to know who you are by totally exceeding the entertainment expectations.

Now we will be briefly & firmly taking you all through the specifications & features of the newly announced devices.
Xperia XZ1 & Xperia XZ1 Compact:
The Xperia XZ1 is Featured with a 5.2 inches of HDR display having a resolution of 1080p while the XZ1 Compact has a 4.6 inches display with 720p of resolution, the devices get Gorilla Glass 5 protection for better durability that is also water resistant with IP68 & both of them are powered up with the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with X16 LTE that will provide up to 1 Gbps downloading speeds. The chipset platform will deliver outstanding graphics, smoother performances & better battery life also providing smoother support for PlayStation®4. The XZ1 is having a 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage while the Compact model is having 32GB storage although both of them can expand through microSD support.
A USB 3.1 connection has been provided to the XZ1 which provides 10 times faster responses. The battery of 2700 mAh has been included in both the devices for better long lasting & uninterrupted power supply. An advanced Stamina mode has been inbuilt for cutting down the energy consumption so your battery can last longer along side the charging technologies i.e Battery Care & Qnovo Adaptive Charging being provided. Additional feature of the XZ1 is a 3D scanning mode which saves the file as a 3D image
This time the Xperia XZ1 & XZ1 Compact have been incorporated with the latest Motion Eye Camera using know-how from Sony’s ‘α’ and Cyber-shot™ camera ranges. It’s memory-stacked Exmor™ RS image sensor pushes motion capture to the next level. The XZ1 is having a premium 13MP front camera with a 1/3” sensor and a display flash so you’ll get outstanding selfies in any light while the XZ1 Compact features a super-wide-angle 8-megapixel front camera. Although both of them have a 19-megapixel sensor at the rear end with Predictive Capture that will take an image a few seconds before you actually hit the shutter button. The camera can also shoot a super slow motion 720p video at 960fps. As it offers Sony’s SteadyShot electronic stabilization for video, it lacks optical image stabilization for stills.
High-Resolution Audio will enable the user to enjoy every nuance & detail of the track being played. Enjoying movies without the headphones made easy with stereo speakers with S-Force Front Surround, that brings 50% more sound. Talking about the OS, Sony is going to launch these devices with Android 8.0 Oreo, hence making them the very first device outside the Google owned Pixel & Nexus lines, to launch the newly launched Android 8.0 Oreo in the market.
The XZ1 will be available for $699.99 on Amazon or BestBuy from 19th of September with a support for T-Mobile’s Wi-Fi calling & VoLTE features while the XZ1 Compact will be arriving on 4th of October for about $599.99. Both the devices will come in different variants of Black, White Silver, Horizon Blue and Twilight Pink.
Xperia XA1 Plus:
The XA1 Plus is a Super Mid-range family featuring 5.5 inches of Full HD display, having rounded & sleek design with narrow borders & intuitive fingerprint sensor on the power button itself & also has an immersive audio performance from Sony technologies.
Like the XZ1 & Compact, the XA1 Plus is also powered with all day battery thanks to its large capacity and Stamina Mode and with power efficient performance to keep everything running smoothly and quickly with its octa-core processor as it is powered by MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor with a RAM of 4GB & having storage of 32GB internally.
The XA1 Plus features a rear camera that offers a 23MP high resolution with a large 1/2.3” Exmor™RS for mobile sensor. It features a bright F2.0 lens to offer stunning high-resolution images even in low-light. Also, it can be launched to capture in 0.6s and incredibly fast and accurate Hybrid Autofocus, so even the most spontaneous moments are always in focus. While at the front end it features an 8MP 23mm wide-angle lens front camera to give you high-quality images that capture all the action, even in a group selfie.
Talking about the battery, it has 3430 mAh of battery capacity, offers Qnovo Adaptive Charging which provides you that boost of hours of power in just minutes of charging. The device comes in three stunning colors, Gold, Blue and Black so you can stand out from the crowd. The Xperia XA1 Plus will be available from the Autumn this year although its price is yet to be announced.
