Samsung Galaxy home mini was first seen at Samsung Developer Conference in October 2019 and it was expected to hit the consumer market in quarter 4 of 201, but due to some unspecified reason it didn’t. Now have some new leaks through CES 2020 that clues it’s launch in early 2020.

When it comes to design it is expected to have a mini pod like design with textured mesh structure that can easily blend with your living room and it doesn’t feature a grill like structure that was seen earlier in Galaxy Home that is known as the  big brother of Galaxy Home Mini.

Samsung expected this device to be their best smart home product that can have an indigenous control over its other IoT devices. It was expected to have an in-built voice assistant and you may have expected Samsung must be proceeding with Bixby that is a voice assistant developed by Samsung and the sound of the speakers were to be tuned by AKG that is also a sister brand of Samsung focused in field of sound and speakers development.

It was expected to compete against Google Home Mini by Google and Alexa Home Mini by amazon and to be honest if Samsung is planning to use Bixby in Samsung Home Mini it can’t compete with any of the product listed above as the utility provided by Google Assistant or Alexa are far more suitable than Bixby. As Bixby lack a wide library of commands you would get with Google Assistant, Alexa, or Siri.

Samsung has revealed that it’s planning to release the Galaxy Home Mini early in 2020. We still didn’t get a specific date, but who knows, maybe in the next Unpacked event that is scheduled for 11th February 2020. We can’t confirm it as of now but let’s have our fingers crossed.
