Report from ETNews suggested that at the event of Mobile World Congress held last month this year, Samsung has shown the prototype of the device to some major mobile network providers. The project is called as Project Valley and also known as Galaxy X, this name may change after the release.
This foldable smartphone will fold like a wallet. This feature will be possible when the bendable OLED panel uses instead of the flexible panel. This concept if implement then it would completely provide a new feature to the device and Samsung will be able to increase it sell and could compete well with the Apple device. The idea of making foldable smartphone seems quite interesting. However, the look of the foldable smartphone was described in a patent application from an electronics company that came in November 2016. A fold in the middle of the screen was described that will allow the user to close it like the clamshell dumbphone.
Apart from Samsung, LG is also supposed to launch their foldable devices in the fourth quarter of this year. It is also assumed that LG’s foldable smartphone will come with more advanced technology than Samsung.
