Ryzen The New Processor From AMD: All You Need To Know: AMD has always had a difficult past recently since it started competing its rival Intel up for many years which ended up by the 2000’s, multiple factors were involved in bringing the company for a near extinction from the industry. Hence due to the decline for AMD in the market, its competitors Intel was easily able to gobble up CPU market share for both PCs & data center. In the past few years, the PC market has been starving for something really innovative. So Ryzen is here with some really amazing performance which will be benefitting the end users to live up to their expectations.
Ryzen The New Processor From AMD: All You Need To Know:
Ryzen is just a very first step for creating the potential to make a change for AMD this time. The Ryzen’s architecture is based on Zen which AMD started building 4 years ago. The actual goal with Zen was to have 40% more instructions per cycle, which is a metric for processor performance, over the previous generation’s architecture. Instead, AMD ended up with 52% more instructions per cycle. Typically, most of the chips that are based on new architecture achieve only up to 20% hike in performance.
Here are the 3 Ryzen Processors that are going for pre-orders from Wednesday onwards after it has been successfully launched on the 2nd of March. Here they are:
-
Ryzen 7 1800X:
This one will be running at 3.6 GHz or up to 4.0 GHz & Benchmarks show that this would be performing 9% better than the Intel Core i7 6900K. The cost of the processor is $499 which is almost half the cost of the Intel processor i.e $1050.
-
Ryzen 7 1700X:
The Ryzen 1700X will be running at 3.4 GHz or may go up to 3.8 GHz & Benchmarks show that it could perform almost 39% better than the Intel Core i7 6800K which is based on the CInebench’s figures. In terms of cost, for the Ryzen 1700X, you will have to spend only $399 as compared to the $425 for the Intel’s i7 6800K.
-
Ryzen 7 1700:
Finally, the Ryzen 7 1700, that will be running at 3.0 GHz & can go up to 3.7 GHz will be able to achieve a 46% better performance over the Intel Core i7 7700K. The one will cost you only $329 against the Intel’s i7 7700K which costs about $350.
Overall: The Ryzen 7:
After the Sunnyvale, California-based Chipmaker announced the details associated with the 3 CPU’s lying under the Ryzen 7 brand name, it has been confirmed as per the Benchmarks that they stand out in performance & also costs lesser than the top PC Chipmaker i.e Intel. AMD is also hoping to introduce a tough competition into the market with these new CPU’s & improve their market share thus making the highly performing PC’s more accessible to the Users.
