Currently, Xiaomi is the leader in various consumer spaces ranging from Smartphones to Smart TVs and the Chinese tech giant is ready to take yet another leap by introducing their laptop and notebooks line-up in India.
Indian consumers were waiting for the arrival of laptops from Xiaomi for a long time and this time Xiaomi heard them out and decided to launch its much-anticipated laptops and notebook line-up for Indian consumers.
This can be considered as a smart move by tech-giant as the whole world is suffering from COVID-19 pandemic and everyone is forced to work from home and thus the requirement and demand of various computing elements have peaked out and by launching a laptop line-up could result in some ground-breaking sales record. Every consumer sees Xiaomi as a tech-lifestyle brand that offers great products at an astounding price, thus introducing such a new product category can help them to capture more attention than ever before.
Redmi recently launched RedmiBook 13, RedmiBook 14, RedmiBook 16 in mainland China while Xiaomi already got various laptops under the ‘Mi Notebook’ portfolio namely Mi Notebook Pro 15, Mi Notebook Air, and Mi Gaming Laptop and more.
There has been no official statement regarding which laptop line-up will debut in India first, but we are expecting the launch of RedmiBook over Mi Notebooks as Xiaomi focuses more on the product under the Redmi brand moniker rather than Mi.
This announcement came through some teasing videos posted over Mi’s and Redmi’s twitter handles on Wednesday where the main man Manu Kumar Jain along with his colleagues were seen working over a laptop and closing the lid and stating “It’s Time” after posting this video, a tweet was published today,l where Xiaomi was seen teasing yet greeting other laptop makers like HP, Dell, Lenovo, and Asus.
Here are some Quick Specs of RedmiBooks that were launched in mainland China by the tech giant(Xiaomi).
The RedmiBook 13 comes in three configurations.
- The AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD variant is priced at 3,799 Yuan (roughly Rs. 40,200).
- The AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD variant is priced at 3,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 42,300)
- The AMD Ryzen 7 4700U CPU with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD variant is priced at CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 53,000).
The RedmiBook 14 and the RedmiBook 16 come in the same three CPU and RAM variants, the only difference being that there is no 1TB SSD option. They are all only available with 512GB of storage.
The three variants with 512GB storage are priced at CNY 3,799, CNY 3,999, and CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 47,700) respectively.
