The trend of True Wireless Earbuds is at its peak as every tech-lifestyle brand is hoarding toward this consumer space. May can be announced as the month of TWS Earphones, a lot of brands have already proved their existence into the world of wireless music and it looks like Redmi is ready to push its luck as well.
Recently, we witnessed the launch of Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 along with India’s first 108MP camera smartphone i.e. Mi 10. But those earphones were primarily focused toward a mid-range segment with a price tag of Rs.4,499.
There was a lot of anticipation around the launch of Redmi Airdots in India for a long time as Redmi AirDots that may suit the needs of every Indian consumer keeping the budget of Rs.3,000 or less. These true wireless earbuds got an in-ear design similar to that of realme Buds Q and Samsung Buds with tilted silicon cushions for a cozy and comfortable fit. While the case of Redmi AirDots S is similar to its predecessor i.e. the case is elliptical in shape with a Micro-USB port for charging the case itself. The touch and feel of the case is textured with matt finishing.
Both case and buds are made out of polycarbonate to keep the weight as light as possible. Redmi AirDots weigh around 30gms with buds inside the case and buds itself weighs only 3gms.
Redmi AirDots S packs a 7.2mm dynamic audio driver that is quite amazing keeping in mind the price point at which one can buy them. It also integrates the functionality of voice assistant activation using touch controls that are unified inside both the earbuds and provides various functionalities like call accept or reject and options to change tracks.
Redmi also claims that Redmi AirDots S can last for 12 hours over cumulative usage along with battery case and standalone earbuds can give you more than 4 hours of audio playback.
This version of Redmi AirDots makes use of Realtek RTL8763BFR audio chip for better connection stability and lower latency rate. Redmi AirDots S makes use of Dual-Channel connection protocol instead of a master-slave or Single-Channel connection that was previously seen on Redmi AirDots. Redmi is also teasing a low-latency mode that will help all the gamers out there to hears the sound as they happen.
Redmi AirDots S is IP6X certified that signifies the fact that these earbuds are splash and sweat. A Digital Signal Processor is unified into the buds to reduce the environmental sounds during calls for a clearer and crisper interaction with your loved ones.
