Pixel Buds 2 are amazing looking truly wireless earbuds from Google

Google announced the Pixel Buds 2 — its first truly wireless Bluetooth earbuds. During Made By Google event along with Pixel 4 and 4Xl. The original Pixel Buds were a disaster and did not really do well. With the Pixel Buds 2, Google has made the earphones completely wireless and improved them radically in every aspect.

The original Pixel Buds debuted in 2017 and promised a killer feature: the ability to translate up to 40 languages in real time, with the earbuds allowing you to chat with someone in a language you don’t know by piping translated words into your ears and then translating your own words back via an integrated speaker.

The new Pixel Buds 2 has been redesigned to improve its shape from a flat shape to a sleek circle with a short wingtip. In addition, they are incredibly light and are designed to be as inconspicuous as possible. More hidden and small, not as big as the AirPods.

In addition to the size, the Google Pixel Buds 2 is also very comfortable to wear. Thanks to its unique “space vents”, the Buds 2 is worn on the ear as if it were not wearing headphones, and there is no common sense of stuffiness like other truly wireless earplugs.

The Pixel Buds 2 fit flush in your ears and have a design that is similar to Samsung’s Gear Buds rather than AirPods. It also comes with interchangeable ear tips to ensure you get a perfect and comfortable fit. The buds are also sweat and water-resistant.

The Pixel Buds 2 comes with a wireless charging case that is very similar to the one that Apple bundles with the AirPods. The Pixel Buds last for around 5 hours on a single charge, with the battery life jumping to around 24 hours with the case.

Wireless Charging Case To Keep You Going

They’ll offer 5 hours of continuous listening with up to 24 hours from the wireless charging case which can be recharged via its USB-C connection.

They feature a hands-free connection to Google Assistant, as well as being able to detect speech through vibrations in the jaw, therefore being able to zero in on your voice when speaking through the mic.

Google Translation returns, offering the ability to translate foreign languages on the go. Other features better wireless connectivity, with the Pixel Buds capable of maintaining a connection even when the earbuds are far away from the device.

Google also claims that “long-range Bluetooth connectivity” that grants the earbuds enough range to work “three rooms away indoors or a football field-distance away outdoors,” though Google didn’t go into any specifics regarding how it has achieved that. Google says the new Pixel Buds are sweat- and water-resistant as well, though it didn’t provide a specific IPX rating.

Different colors to choose from

Like the previous Pixel Buds, these are intended to be “smart” headphones, and as such you get hands-free Google Assistant support in addition to basic playback controls on each earbud. There’s no active noise cancellation, but there is an “adaptive sound” feature designed to adjust the volume of whatever you’re playing dynamically, depending on the noise levels of your surrounding environment.

Aware Opinion On Pixel Buds 2

The new Pixel Buds has touch controls for media playback, and boasts 5 hours of listening time on a single charge, and with the wireless charging case, will give the earbuds up to 24 hours of listening time in total.
