This year’s CES was somewhat more exciting compared to previous ones. CES 2020 was full of invisible tech as OnePlus just showcased it OnePlus Concept One with invisible camera. How can Samsung lag behind when it comes to innovation so Samsung showcased an innovative piece of technology that and named it ‘Selfie Type’ which is a software based product from the house of ‘C Lab’ which comes under the incubation of Samsung. Let’s know more about this technology.
The Science Behind ‘Selfie Type’
Before Samsung officially introduced this technology during CES 2020, we already had a glimpse of its working as a video somehow surfaced on a Korean community.
In that video we saw a person writing an email with the help of ‘Selfie Type’, His device was standing still on a dock and he was moving his fingers across a table and somehow everything that he tried to type was being displayed on the screen quite accurately and today Samsung showcased the same.
‘Selfie Type’ doesn’t make use of any hardware components just selfie camera of your device. It makes use of some algorithm and track position of your fingers as you move them. The things that you should keep in mind while using this technology is that you must have to keep your fingers under a certain range that varies from device to device and depends on the field of view of your selfie camera.
But the drawback here is that you don’t get any feedback as you type something that you can normally see on a device virtual keyboard. Usually when we type something on our virtual keyboard of our mobile devices we get feedback like a vibration or a click sound that ensures you that you have written something but this is not the case with ‘Selfie Type’ you can’t receive any feedback as you are typing on a surface like a table.
Second drawback is that while typing on a normal virtual keyboard you can see which key you are pressing but you can see or even guess which key are you pressing that makes this typing experience more complex and unfaithful to use in normal working situations.
This feature is expected to roll out to various Samsung devices as an OTA or Over The Air update and it is quite definite that upcoming Samsung device will come with this ‘Selfie Type’ feature out of the box. But C-Lab need to somehow fix the feedback and typing analogy to make this technology reach the masses. We ourselves are quite excited to get our hands on this amazing and innovative technology and write an amazing article for you guys using the same invisible keyboard i.e. ‘Selfie Type’.

HP shaved down the display’s top and bottom bezels, which in them allow them to make a display about 90-percent screen to body ratio. It features either a 15.6-inch 4K OLED display or 4K IPS display with DCI-P3 with a 30% wider color gamut range.
HP Spectre x360 15-Inch With 10th Gen Core i7 & Nvidia’s GeForce MX
HP Spectre x360 15-Inch from inside made no sacrifice in performance to maintain the profile of the device intact as they introduce Intel’s 10th-gen Core i7 processor which from U-Series lineup which is meant for Ultrabook. From discrete graphics, HP introduces Nvidia’s GeFore MX chip which gives decent graphics performance under lower power consumption. All the specs will require low power which helps the device to hit up to 17 hours of battery life.
By the introduction of Intel’s 10th-gen CPU Spectre now has Wi-Fi 6 which is 3-times faster than Wi-Fi 5 and can connect with many devices. There is an option for killing webcam as well as microphones from the device using a key this will help users to maintain their privacy when they wanted. Spectre X360 also has a quad firing speaker which made some pretty decent sound.
In the port department, there is some good selection including 2 Thunderbolt 3 which helps to connect power demanding accessories like external GPU, a microSD card slot, an HDMI port and a USB-A port for some legacy devices.
HP will bring this product in March of this year with a starting price of $1,600 which is might not cheap but by looking at its elegant looks and design people might tend toward HP for options.

Samsung The Wall TV officially the largest TV saw at CES, which is just perfect for the complete theatre setup. This is possible due to modular, build-it-as-big-as-you-want MicroLED technology the world’s biggest TV maker. The size of Samsung The Wall TV measures 292 inches that’s over 24 feet or 7.4 meters which seems to be largest in the CES 2020.
Samsung The Wall TV: Biggest TV MicroLED Technology
MicroLED is more similar to OLED than LCD and it is the first new screen technology in a decade. MicroLED uses millions of tiny LEDs to create the image directly which delivers perfect black levels and high brightness, this creates a better quality of images as compared to OLED without burn-in.
As I told you earlier that this CSE 2020 in terms of the screen is more focus on 8K so as a reflection of this the company presents a 150-inch version with 8K resolution. The module uses in this are the same which the company removes in CES 2019 to attain a 75-inch 4K resolution version. “New advancements for 2020 have allowed for larger-scale production of fixed screen sizes,” Samsung said in a statement, “including new 88-, 93-, 110- and 150-inch sizes.”
These are the Samsung screen in CES 2020 if you will notice in terms of display this CES is more focus on 8K. What do you think about 8K display is it useful? As you find hardly any content in 8K comment us below your view we will love to know about that. Stay tuned with us for more CES 2020 news related to the latest launch of products.
Withings ScanWatch now brings more diversity to the smartwatches market which is being captured by Apple, Fitbit, Garmin, and some other major players who don’t let other innovators pass through. As each year they release their flagship product which will feature some of the major health metrics which can’t be coupe by competitions. Withings has now launched its own Hybrid Smartwatch Withings ScanWatch.
Withings ScanWatch Changes Trend of Hybrid Smartwatch
However Withings tries to capture bit which is left by Apple, Fitbit or Garmin, but however Withings tries to compete in this market as the French health tech company release an ECG-equipped watch last year, tries to beat with the new ScanWatch looks like the most complete on-wrist health package yet. In CES 2020 Withings release their ScanWatch smartwatch which is a modular smartwatch as it looks and feel like an ordinary smartwatch but also tracks users’ health metrics. OnePlus celebrated its 6th anniversary by mesmerizing everyone by releasing a poster for its concept device named OnePlus One Concept that they are going to showcase at CES 2020 at Las Vegas. The name of the device came out to be OnePlus Concept One. It would become the first-ever concept device from the house of OnePlus. Today we will discuss how OnePlus Concept One can revolutionize the design industry. So without wasting any more time let’s get started.
OnePlus Concept
One
As we all are well aware of the fact that the focus idea behind launching the brand was to bring out a revolution in the smartphone industry. OnePlus has stuck to the same ideology all these years and we are pretty sure that they will stick to the same philosophy forever. To continue their unmatched streak OnePlus is going to introduce its first-ever concept device at CES 2020.
The special thing that separates OnePlus from other brands is that they don’t follow the trend they set the trend. To set the trend once again OnePlus came up with an idea of a smartphone with invisible camera setup at the rear end making the device one of the most stunning looking pieces of art. They will be using a special type of glass to do so, known as ‘Electrochromic Glass’.
Electrochromic Glass
Electrochromic glass is a special kind of glass that can change its transparency depending upon the voltage applied. OnePlus has taken the inspiration from one of its collaborative car manufactures i.e. McLaren. One of the supercars from the McLaren comes with an option of electrochromic glass for which you have to shell out an extra $9000 to get that amazing sunroof over your $300,000 sports car. The same technology of glass is being used in aircraft from Boeing that tint’s the glass as required by the operator.
Working of The Invisible Cameras
You must be wondering how this technology even works. Don’t worry at Tech Awareness we starve to produce content that explains technology in an easy and laymen way. So, let’s get started.
This is the technology that was used in some high-end sports cars and jets from Boeing and the technology is named ‘Electrochromic glass’. While going deep about electrochromic glass we must know that there are 3 types of electrochromic glass and they all possess different properties. While in this OnePlus device we will see the most advanced type of this glass.
The property of the Electrochromic glass fitted in OnePlus Concept One will use a voltage signal to communicate and change its property. The basic idea behind this concept is to hide cameras completely while not in use that makes the device nothing less than a gorgeous stunner.
The Story Behind Origination of OnePlus One Concept
OnePlus derived the motivation for using ‘Electrochromic
Glass’ while working on the McLaren edition of there recently launched device.
There is a story associated with it.
While the chief designer of the OnePlus was heading to the McLaren factory he was sitting in a McLaren and there he looked at the sunroof of McLaren he was completely stunned by the look, feel and usability of that sunroof, he instantly communicated this scenario with his team and administration. They were then allowed to work on that project.
But here comes the twist, if they use that glass to make a smartphone then the cost of manufacturing will reach the soaring heights. So, they decided to use that glass only to cover the camera set up to give the device a feel of the uni-material build.
But that was not all, then came the scenario in which the
being used will increase the thickness of the device and make it a bulky piece
of glass. So, the OnePlus team came with a solution to use only a thin layer of
glass to cover the camera module.
Conclusion
While having a chat with one of the representatives of
OnePlus we got to know that this would only be a concept device for now and
they are not planning to bring this device to the consumer market as of now but
we could expect this device to hit the smartphone market in upcoming years.
Lenovo started to show their presence at CES 2020 by introducing their gaming device which includes display, notebook and various other devices. Their gaming lineup notebook is pretty demanding and also favorite among users, so Lenovo has decided to iterate their Legion lineup with new 15-inch Legion Y740S also with an option of external GPU Legion BoostStation.
Lenovo Legion Y740S Made Gaming More Thing and Light

The keyboard of the device also feels bouncier and has pretty good key travel with a tactile response without ghosting. You can also expect Dolby Atmos-capable speakers which may perform pretty decent. The display refresh rate of the device is 60Hz rather than other competitors moved toward 120Hz for smoother visuals.
Legion Y740S weighs only 4.2 pounds (1.9kg), which is just 0.6-inch thick (14.9 mm) which made the notebook light so gamers can carry easily.
Performance
While making the notebook thin Lenovo has sacrificed discrete GPU as now they completely rely on Integrated Intel’s GPU. While Lenovo also provided an option for External GPU which is the company’s first External GPU, the Legion BoostStation. The Integrated GPI performs pretty well for minimal tasks like surfing, moderated graphics-intensive applications, and light gaming. Intel has really improved its Integrated GPU with the introduction of Intel’s 10th-gen CPU.
From inside the notebook will have up to a 10th-gen Intel Core i9 H-series processor, which is termed as performance beast. The notebook can also be tied with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage.
