HP Announces Smart Products & Accessories At CES 2018

HP Announces Series Of Products With Intel’s 8th Gen Core i7 Processors At CES 2018: Today at CES 2018, HP announced its new HP Spectre x360 15 that is an convertible laptop & is having an integrated AMD graphics on board. This is the first laptop to be powered with the all new 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with integrated graphics. Although that was also configured earlier with another variant having discrete Nvidia graphics. But this time the company has also launched the HP Envy x2 with Intel processors, the HP Pavillion Wave with integrated Amazon Alexa & OMEN gaming technology & display altogether at a common platform of CES. Some other accessories have also been announced alongside that include the HP Tilt Pen, the Spectre USB Type-C power pack & the Spectre USB Type-C travel dock too. This time HP seems to be all set for entering the multi-segmental market competition with its products.

HP Envy x2 Hybrid: The Ultra Light Weight 2in1 Laptop

The HP Envy x2 is a light weight device (only 766 grams) and an ‘Always-Connected’ PC with a fanless CNC machined aluminium shell & it is a variant of the ‘Always Connected’ Windows PC model that was launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC in December last year. This hybrid variant sports a 12.3-inch WUXGA+ display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection that has been powered by the 7th-generation Intel Core Y-Series processors, coupled with 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD storage. The HP Envy x2 Hybrid  runs on Windows 10 Home OS and according to the company its estimated battery life is up to 17 hours, however it may be less or more accoring to the applications being run. At CES 2018 the Intel and AMD have revealed the Intel Core i5 and i7 chips powered by AMD Radeon Rx  Vega M GPUs. It is the first time when Intel and AMD have made a processor in collaboration.

Being rivals for a long time, Intel and AMD announced in November 2017 that they are working together to make chips laptop and desktop left the computing world shocked. As a result of their collaboration, we will have Intel’s Core Processor with AMD’s Radeon Graphics.

These new chipsets fall into the H-series line of eight – Generation Core Processor. with the help of EMIB technology, Intel and AMD have successfully integrated the Radeon Rx Vega M GPU with Core i5/i7 CPUs. It also has 4GB HMB2 RAM support that is going to save space internally inside the laptops as it is almost 50% smaller.

At CES 2018, it has been said by the companies that they have two sets variants of the chip. One is for the laptops and another one is for desktops. The first one which is for laptops is an 8th Gen Intel Core i5/i7 with Radeon Rx Vega MGL Graphics 65W total package power while the second one is for the desktops which are more powerful chip – the 8th Gen Core i7 processor with Radeon Rx Vega MGH Graphics and 100W.

“Micro” LED is kind of a misleading name, because this new TV technology from Samsung can create truly gigantic screens. The name of the TV itself called what really it means “The Wall”. MicroLED technology is based on Samsung’s Cinema Screen technology, which is designed for movie theaters. The Wall is insanely big display as it measures 146 inches diagonally which really mean big. But it does not stop there as Samsung will make this thing even bigger as their other range of products along with this series.

But the technology won’t stop there as Samsung made this TV a really dynamic TV as you can use this TV as the modular device. According to Samsung “User can remove or add modules to make their TV bigger or smaller, in any configuration, removing previous limitations on screen size as Samsung also assure that the performance of TV won’t affect any bit.

Unlking previous technology like LCD or LED which uses Liquid Crystal or Light Emitting Diode, Micro LED uses an array of millions of individual, tiny LEDs to create the image. It’s very similar to the technology used in scoreboards and jumbo screens but scaled for home use. As this kind of concept will work on a big house so you can attach the TV edge to edge with Wall or ceiling height.

MicroLED has the great advantage over the LED, OLED or LCD as it provides much more contrast, the brightness of the display is around 2000 nits which is really amazing. When you watch HDR source, the color really look pop and amazing.

At CES 2018, LG Display will go to show off it’s 65-inch rollable OLED display which will have UHD 4K resolution. Before the LG Display, other companies have also come with the concept of the foldable display but that was limited to the only bend, but this one of LG’s OLED display is flexible at the extent to fold into a tube form.

It is not the first time when LG Display is going to show its rollable display, at CES 2016 LH had shown an 18-inch OLED rollable display and it did not have even full HD display but and now this time this concept will be seen in the bigger size (65-inch) and 4K resolution as well. The TVs in bigger size always give better visual experience to the users with the Ultra High Definition mode. The 18-inch OLED display was get rolled tightly into cone shape that was supported by a black stand

This rollable display will be satisfactory for easy storage when not in use and transportation. Nokia finally getting into the competitive market as their last year device hit the row has an amazing response from the public and they are ahead to continue to give more as possible. After getting a bunch of leaks about Nokia mid-range device from HMD Global finally they have announced the Nokia 6 (2018) version of predecessor Nokia 6.

The device is launch in China and will get global rollout as the main market of the target of the device in India and other major countries. The device will make its way to the US but dates are not clear yet. China’s Suning has started taking pre-orders for the Nokia 6 (2018), and its sales will begin starting January 10.

The device will come in two model 32GB version and 64GB version the 32GB will prices at CNY 1,499 roughly $231 while 64GB version $261. Both the model will have Black and Silver Color option.

Talking about other specification of the device Nokia 6 will include Android OS version 7.1.1 which is Nougat the latest previous from Google. Nokia also provides the latest update as soon as possible as they promised soon it will get Android Oreo Update when possible. The will follow the trending edge to edge design but the aspect ratio of the device is around 16:9 rather than 18:9 while the device will remove the front button and front fingerprint sensor. These three new smartphones have been rumored to be launched in this year MWC 2018 but alter it has been clear that the phones will be launched lot sooner than it is expected.The Sony’s press conference starts at 5:00 PM PST (6.30AM IST) on January 8 according to the latest reports.

In the past, it has been suggested that Xperia L2 will feature a 5.5-inch display, and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Xperia L2 render is seen sporting a single rear camera. The handset is believed to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 630 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM.

Recently, the smartphone of Xperia Series has been leaked with live images revealing dual selfie cameras set up on the other hand, its specifications include Xperia XA2 Ultra is suggested to feature a 6-inch display size with 16:9 as its aspect ratio. Whereas, the Xperia XA2 will allegedly feature a 5-inch display. The Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra are said to be powered by the same chip. The Xperia XA2 might come with slightly lower RAM and/or storage.
