Today HMD Global, the company which buys Nokia has launch 5 different range of smartphone from budget device to flagship. Nokia is trying to set the bar of photography in smartphone industry to above any one, as they have launched a smartphone which have 5 camera at the rear side as 2019 is the year of 3 camera setup Nokia has done a wonderful task. While other budget model of smartphone which include Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 1 and Nokia 210. 

Nokia 4.2

Nokia 4.2 is the new segment introduce in the Nokia lineup, as this device lies between pricier Nokia 5 line and the cheaper Nokia 3. The smartphone is well made and feel premium, the device features 5.71-inch notch display and a fingerprint sensor while the price of the device is under $200.

Powering this device has Snapdragon 439 processor as it has very good capacity to manage multi-tasking and run apps and games flawlessly. Device sports 3,000 mAh battery and option for 2GB RAM with 16GB storage or 3GB RAM with 32GB of storage

The Nokia 4.2 will cost either $169 or $199 depending on the storage configuration, although Nokia isn’t sure yet which configurations will come to the US when the phone launches in April.

Nokia 3.2 

Nokia 3.2 is updated version of last year 3.1. It feature 6.26-inch notched display, and a gigantic 4,000 mAh battey that last upto two days under normal usage

The device feature smart Snapdragon 439 processor and 2GB RAM 16GB storage and 3GB RAM 32GB storage. As compared with Nokia 4.2 it lacks glass design instead it has plastic back which feels cheaper but it help to reduce the cost of the device for under $169 and $139 depending upon models. The Nokia 3.2 will launch in May.

Nokia 1 Plus

Nokia 1 Plus is a updated version of Nokia 1 which announced last year. Device is priced at $99, it creates a new segment for entry level smartphone for folks who are looking for cheaper smartphone option. 

Price of the device won’t trims its functionality It features a 5.45-inch 18:9 display, removable back cover with replaceable battery, and is thinner than last year’s model. Crucially, it’ll also run Android 9 Pie Go, instead of the larger Android 9 Pie, and will be available in mid-March.

Nokia 210 

As year by year passes by Nokia trying to keep their retro lineup of feature phones up to date as they announced Nokia 210, a cheaper feature phone which cost $35. As you might expect, the specs here are nothing to be amazed by a 2.4-inch QVGA display and 16MB of memory. Chrome Book is suitable for people who work in light kind of environment where people require to write articles or browse internet these light task won’t require much effort. Last year, reports of a new Microsoft OS called “Windows Lite” began to emerge, and they detailed an OS built on Windows Core OS, as this OS is aims to take over ChromeOS, Microsoft will trim down the experience of Windows 10 make it light and suitable for light base user which don’t like to perform heavier task. 

Microsoft called this project as a codename of “Santorini” is being used to talk about Windows Lite. Xiaomi one of the biggest smartphone manufactures form China bring their newest edition flagship which has been announced recently. In just 10 month after Xiaomi Mi 8 Xiaomi release their flagship Mi 9. As compared with previous gen Mi 9 has made a little bit tweaks here and there to make this smartphone to stand against the competition. Some meaningful addition includes triple camera setup, new charging improvement.

Design

Design of new Mi 9 has added new colorful glass body which we have seeing in new Chinese smartphones these days. Back panel of the device is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 which made this device a little bit sturdy and also add little bit color attraction to device. On the font side device feature teardrop notch design, display is protected with Gorilla Glass 5.

On the bottom side device features Type-C port, sorry but not headphone jack but USB-C to 3.5mm adapter included in the box. There’s no fingerprint scanner on the back this year because all Mi 9 versions now use a Goodix in-display fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi has also added three shortcuts when you long-press the scanner. For now, these shortcuts are locked to scanning a QR code, performing a web search, and adding a calendar event, but Xiaomi says a future update will allow you to remap them.

Display

Display on the device have 6.39-inch AMOLED panel with Full-HD+ (2,340×1,080) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Device has 430 nits of brightness which is optimal of outdoor usage but not under direct sunlight. The device support always on display and AI-face unlocking. 

Camera 

Camera on the device feature 3 camera setup on the rear, a 12MP 2x optical zoom, a 16MP ultra wide angle lens with 117 degree field of view and 48MP Sony IMX586 lens which is the main camera and it help to capture detailed shots. All three rear cameras are covered by Sapphire Glass.

On the front Side device has a single 20MP camera with AI bokeh effect. 

Hardware

Battery on the device account up to 3,300mAh which is pretty decent battery life for a smartphone but long hour of usage may cause issue so user used to carry power bank or charger with them. Charging on this device has made improvement as it support 27W wired and 20W wireless charging. Full charging with wire takes about a hour and 40 min. 

Device has been powered with Snapdragon 855 SoC which is truly a powerhouse of 2019 flagship smartphone. Storage and RAM option is really wonderful for user to choose device start form 64GB Storage and 6GB RAM up to 256GB Storage and 12GB of RAM. 12GB RAM model will be available only in China and Transparent Edition of MI 9 also support this configuration. 

For connectivity device support dual 4G, Bluetooth 5 and NFC. There is no option for expandability for storage in this device and also no IPX rating.

Device will be start shipping from 3,299 yuan ($499) for 8GB/128GB model and Transparent Edition costs around 3,999 yuan ($599) for 12GB/256GB model. After for decade of innovation Samsung finally reach to a point for future innovation, Samsung has finally announced there next Gen. Galaxy flagship smartphone called as Samsung Galaxy S10. Samsung has truly stepped into the future of smartphone as they bring some innovations like 5G, Foldable Smartphone or Reverse Wireless Charging to reality.

During the event, Samsung has announced many other products which include Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, S10 5G, Galaxy Fold Galaxy Buds, and Galaxy Watch Active. These all stuff has a lot to talk about so let see them one by one.

Galaxy S10

Galaxy S10 finally completed a decade and after a decade it really looks like Samsung has come really far away. Galaxy S10 has been wonderfully crafted smartphone which is really made for a customer in mind, from design to size smartphone really shines out. Galaxy S10 5G

Chinese tech giants Xiaomi has officially announced their event for announcing their flagship smartphone. The event will be held on 20th Feb same day when Samsung unveils their own flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S10. Above the competition Xiaomi has officially leaked specs and price of their latest smartphone which help them to create more hype than Samsung’s smartphone. 

Design

Xiaomi Flagship lineup Mi will get its successor Mi 9 and Mi 9 X Alita. Talking about the smartphone Xiaomi will stick to latest design pattern of Dew Drop display rather than Galaxy expected Punch Hole. This display design will help Mi 9 to get 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. 

Display

Display of Mi 9 will feature a AMOLED panel that delivers Full HD+ resolution. Mi 9 is expected to feature HDR+ display which makes color accuracy more realistic and true to life. Brightness of display will be 600nits and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Display size yet not been announced but it is expected to have 6.3-6.4-inch display which is true standard for edge to edge display devices. The display will also feature modes like Sunlight Mode 2.0 and Reading Mode 2.0, which is said to help improve screen legibility under varying ambient lighting conditions.

Fingerprint sensor will be embedded inside the display which means it will feature optical in-display fingerprint sensor.

Apple’s iPad event hasn’t seen the much green signal as we haven’t heard much about it, but as we are getting an end of this month we are getting a clear picture of iPad. Apple’s upcoming iPad Pro could be the thinnest Apple device yet created.

Yes after comparing with iPhone and previous iPads, 2018 iPad Pro will surely blow your mind in terms of slim. As it is expected that it just measures about 5.9mm thick, based on details shared by a leaker on Twitter who previously provided accurate details on the iPhone XS and XR ahead of launch.

According to this upcoming iPad will measure just 5.9mm and due to this fact that Apple may remove headphone jack. As this might be Apple’s poorest way to remove headphone jack as they remove headphone jack from iPhone because there is no room to remove headphone jack as this device has much space to pack much hardware without any issue but making device slimmer to remove headphone jack hasn’t created much attraction.

The 5.9mm estimate matches up with alleged iPad Pro dimensions shared yesterday on Slashleaks, which suggested the new iPad Pro would measure 5.86mm thick.

Current gen iPad Pro model has 6.1mm thick for a 10.5-inch model so it makes sense that a new model will be slimmer. While the bigger model iPad Pro 12.9-inch features 6.9mm thick which matches near iPhone thickness.

The iPad Pro dimensions shared on Slashleaks yesterday suggest the smaller iPad Pro will be 7 inches wide (178.52mm) and 9.7 inches tall (247.64mm), while the larger model will be 8.5 inches wide (215mm) and 11 inches tall (280.66mm). 

We’ve seen similar dimension estimates in earlier rumors from Japanese site Mac Otakara, suggesting the smaller iPad Pro will measure in at 247.5mm tall, 178.7mm wide and 6mm thick, while the larger model will measure 280mm tall, 215mm wide, and 6.4mm thick. 

Compare these dimension with current gen iPad Pro 10.5-inch measures 174.1mm wide, 250.6mm tall while the bigger one measures in at 220.6mm wide and 305.7mm tall. As Apple will surely make these devices to have fewer bezels as the bezels will be right around 6mm at the top, bottom and sides, with 7.2mm measurement on the Slashleaks document, perhaps referring to bezel thickness with side button included.

Apple has plans to end the home button era of the devices as they started this journey last year from iPhone X and now they gonna remove it from iPad. As removing the home button will create an option for FaceID as iPad Pro will get TrueDepth camera system.

Coming back on the topic headphone jack rumor is not heard for the first time as back in July Mac Otakara also said the upcoming iPad model will have not the headphone jack. 

There is more information about the smart connector as it will be present on the back side of the iPad according to data revealed by the case maker. As this position hasn’t seen much appropriate for a smart connector but hopes Apple will place it a much better place.

Yesterday Apple announced their Apple special event, in which it is expected that Apple will announce new iPad Pro and Mac’s. As an event is going to be held on 30th Oct. in NewYork. So let see how Apple is preparing their devices against other industry competitions. 

Talking about industry standards USB-C has become a new industry standard as many smartphones, devices, tablets, Laptops, and more devices start featuring USB-C. Apple also starts their game with USB-C with Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, and iMac Pro since then there are not many other devices which feature USB-C  as iPhone, iPad, AirPods and much more. As USB-C becomes really a best universal standard for many devices as it is capable of giving much more than previous gen. USB standards, as current USB-C standard gives faster data transfer rate at around 10Gbps or more and also faster-charging rate as many smartphones feature Qualcomm Fast Charging which charges a phone within an Hour of charge. 

Apple’s upcoming iPad Pro models will also be expected to feature USB-C in favor of Lighting Connector, Apple’s Lighting Connector serves Apple, from the era of iPhone 5 since 2013 till now as ever iOS devices and accessories still feature Lighting Connector. But it seems that the era of Lighting Connector may be over from Apple world, as Apple will like to make their device normal as other manufacturers. This information is gathered from accessory makers at the Global Source Mobile Electronics Trade Fair by Japanese site Mac Otakara.

The trade fair kicked off today and Mac Otakara heard “talk” from manufacturers attending the event about a switch to USB-C.

This, not the first time we heard about USB-C turn over of iPad as earlier this year Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted this plan about the move over. As this step is really wonderful for iPad and as well for Apple as it will help iPad to bridge the gap between mobile device and computer.

USB-C will enable iPad Pro power completely as you can connect 4K external Display, USB Drives and much more. As more USB-C accessories are expected to arrive when iPad Pro will introduce. Apple also change the smart connector of iPad Pro 2018 as they make smart connector more powerful and reliable. 

Last week we have to get the new dimension of 2018 iPad Pro as it will surely feature edge to edge display.
