Apple has finally updated its iPad lineup this time by including 2 new version of iPad which called as iPad Air (3rd Gen) and iPad Mini (5th Gen). New iPad is affordable and rightly sits between iPad Pro and iPad 2018. Powerful but underrated

Apple has finally announced their special event of March as the event theme suggests “Its show time” we will probably expect that Apple will launch their video streaming service which will compete with Netflix, Amazon’s Prime Videos and many more. We still not get any glimpse of what we could expect the shows Apple would launch. As we have heard many rumors about big stars are signing with Apple for their own exclusive Apple series but the shows are still not clear.

Mac Otakara says that it’s likely both new iPads will debut at the same time, but the site did not provide any prospective launch timelines beyond mentioning that suppliers are preparing for a launch. Apple’s current sixth-generation iPad sells for $329, and the new model is expected to be available at the same price point.

If this rumor will true Apple will have filler iPad which could fill the gap between existing $329 lower-end iPad and $799 and up for 2018 iPad Pro model. Apple may bring this device somewhat under $600 and provide more feature as compared to lower-end iPad.

Apple may bring a better display, camera, faster processor and faster ram. The device will have a larger 10.5-inch display which gives the user a better view of content as it is easier for multitasking. Hey Siri!

Apple has teased this feature during the iPhone event in 2018 so it may be possible that Apple will bring Hey Siri to AirPods 2.

USB latest iteration of USB 3.2 which announced earlier this week but recently the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) has today announced USB 4, as USB 4 will bring 40 Gbps over the 20 Gbps as compared with the current version of USB. This may sound similar to Thunderbolt 3 offers way back in 2015, but the mass adoption of Thunderbolt 3 will happen in 2017. Now we can find lots of device support Thunderbolt 3 ranging from Apple’s MacBook Pro, Razer’s Blade and much more. Naming becoming more confusing

This simplification sounds like a sensible approach, but the problem is that USB is an open standard, and so the implementation of any of these recommendations will be voluntary. Companies will be able to have their devices certified by the USB-IF, but this is entirely optional. The spokesperson of the organization said they ever consider imposing mandatory requirements on their manufacturing partners, they suggested it would be almost impossible to police because of the number of companies using USB.

Previous gen. USB Type A ports have a color marker which represents the gen. of the USB but Type C has made it even worse as we won’t able to understand Type C version pretty easily, companies also try to name the device with speed but this convention not looks much easy.

USB 4 tries to close the gap between Thunderbolt 3, the latest iteration of Thunderbolt is yet not rumored about but we may see a new feature added to Thunderbolt soon. USB 4 might have the same specs, but Intel provides other Thunderbolt 3 services that go beyond the hardware itself.

The publication of the full USB 4 specification is currently due to arrive in the second half of this year, after which point the USB-IF said that it expects it to be another year and a half before manufacturers start producing devices. So there is some chance for the Thunderbolt 3 to expand its region or bring some latest changes to the device so that people can able to benefit more advanced technology.

Early folding phone manufacturers have been relying on plastic polymers to make their flexible displays, but unlike glass, plastic creases and crinkles over time. Using plastic may provide strength to device as glass have more brittle shape rather than flexible like plastic. But plastic may easily get scratched. 

Corning, the maker of Gorilla Glass, is also working for new gen flexible glass technology which provide foldable smartphone more robust and attractive feel. According to Corning in a interview in Wired, GM of Corning told that they are trying to break some new challenges they face during manufacturing flexible Glass.

According to Wired, Corning is combining its experience with Willow Glass, which can roll up like a sheet of paper, and Gorilla Glass, which gets its strength from an ion-exchange process. Unfortunately, that process involves dipping glass into a molten salt solution, and salt corrodes the transistors found in display applications, which makes Willow Glass unsuitable for phones. Corning’s work is currently focused on overcoming this challenge. 

Apple has invested around $200 million for this technology which they tries to manufacture this technology as flexible glass technology is still far away from reality and only time will tell how Apple will prepare for this competition.

Microsoft also makes the device lighter as they use Carbon fiber design, this design approach makes the device more sturdy while the weight of the device reduces significantly. Apps are necessary for any system to justify its existence and HoloLens already shows a better approach towards it, as HoloLens already have hundreds of apps you can find on Microsoft Store. Microsoft own apps already present in the device. Microsoft introduces a video calling apps for the device so that user can interact with other users in real time or they can share a recent scenario with the help of the front camera.

According to Microsoft device can able to endure up to 3 hours during single charge, this is enough for the user who uses this device for working purpose for now, but when this device more aggressively use for real-world cases it needs more juice.

Future

Future of HoloLens 2 is already on the track as Microsoft executive suggests they already working on HoloLens 3, but they still not clear this device for the normal consumer as the device has still to do more.

HoloLens 3 may arrive earlier than we think as Microsoft executive says the device may reach to it release around 3 years.

The Matebook X Pro released by Huawei is the outstanding mix of portability, performance, ports, and cost-effective which is better than anything else available in the market. In regard to the Matebook X Pro features Huawei launch was not up to mark coz it still has the same design and ports as compared to older versions with just faster processor and upgraded graphics card and Thunderbolt 3 port and storage capacity up to 1TB. With the Matebook X Pro, Huawei also announced the Matebook 14, the model of which was less attractive with again the same designs and lower resolution display and a bump in weight with some other concessions. The pricing information of the Matebook 14 is pending to be announced later this year. The only difference between the new Matebook X Pro and the one that came in last year was the logo on the laptop’s lid which now just Huawei wordmark instead of full logo mark as compared to the older versions. The features of the laptop is same with 13.9 inches, 3000* 2000 Pixel touchscreen with a full-size keyboard and 1.2mm key travel with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The weight of the laptop is 2.93lb. the 2 USB ports remain same through the Thunderbolt port has been upgraded to a full four lanes of bandwidth.

Huawei also said that it is capable of supporting external GPUs like Nvidia’s RTX2080. Inside, the processor options are a Core i5-8265U or Core i7-8565U, which Huawei claims are 10 percent faster than last year’s. The X Pro has either 8GB or 16GB of RAM, and between 256GB and 1TB of storage. The Core i7 version comes with Nvidia’s MX250 discrete graphics, a slight bump over last year’s MX150 GPU. The MateBook 14 is visually very similar to the X Pro, but it has a 14-inch, 2160 x 1440 pixel touchscreen, and a slightly larger body.

It weighs a little more, at 3.28 lbs, and trades the Thunderbolt 3 port of the Pro for one USB-C, one HDMI, one USB-A 3.0, and one USB-A 2.0 ports. Whereas it has the same fingerprint scanner, keyboard, trackpad, and pop-up webcam. Talking about the pop-up webcam, Huawei has kept it the same by embedding it in its keyboard’s function row as usual. The most controversial feature of Matebook X Pro was this pop-up webcam which was really unwelcoming for the shots for video calls but Huawei apparently doesn’t feel it needed to change it for this year’s model. Instead of the quad-speaker system found on the Pro, the MateBook 14 has two speakers on its underside. The MateBook 14 shares the same processor and GPU options of the X Pro, though it will top out at 512GB of storage. Huawei says the 57.4Wh battery is good for 15 hours of video playback or 10.5 hours of web browsing, which is slightly longer than the X Pro’s battery life. `Both models have a new software feature called Huawei Share that makes it easier to transfer images and other files between a Huawei phone and laptop. It can transfer data at up to 30Mbps, and the feature is triggered by the NFC chips in both the laptop and phone. If it seems to be a lot like Apple’s Airdrop feature, that means yes guys it is much similar to it. Both models should be more compelling than the Matebook 13 released this year, which had weird limitations in its USB ports and disappointing battery life. The MateBook X Pro and MateBook 14 will be available in global markets first, before coming to the US. The MateBook X Pro will cost 1,599 euro for the Core i5 model with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage; the Core i7 model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage will sell for 1,999 euro.

Although The MateBook 14 will start at 1,199 euro for a Core i5 model, while the Core i7 version will cost 1,499 euro. Overall the features comparison between new and the old launch of Huawei are pretty much same with slightly better upgrades but the launch isn’t that attractive as expected except when it comes to price at which the product can be purchased with the exemplary features. Therefore, the product is good at the offered price.

Sony has launched its Xperia phones for 2019, as this year it shows that Sony has taken a new path rather than copying Notch or Tear Drop design. Sony has announced 3 new smartphone range after ditching their previous naming as XZ and XA names. The new flagship is now called simply the Sony Xperia 1, while the two new mid-range phones are called the Sony Xperia 10 and Sony Xperia 10 Plus.

Sony has rebooted their smartphone from the ground up from new design to appealing new internals which gives people the option to choose from so without further ado let see all these devices one by one.

Xperia 1

Sony Xperia 1 is the flagship device as it features a full 6.5-inch 4K OLED display with 21:9 aspect ration, yes 21:9 this smartphone has longer than you have expected. Due to its larger aspect ratio you can see immersive content from its beautiful display, some apps support this new design but all apps won’t able to run as expected. This taller device will have more room for Split apps so the user can comfortably work easily.

For powering this device it features Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with expansion option. The camera on the device has 3 rear cameras all 3 camera has 12MP sensor along with one wide-lens, one telephoto and one super wide. On the from the side, it has an 8MP camera.

The sound system on the device is really amazing it features Stereo speaker with Stereo sound recording. Also, feature Dolby Atoms Hi-res Audio. The device is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 along with IP 68 dust and waterproofing. On the software part device feature Android 9 Pie with Sony skin on the top.

Sony has added 3,330 mAh of a battery as the device has a thin design. Price of Xperia 1 is not mentioned yet but according to price, it may cost around $700-800 device will be available from late spring of 2019.

Xperia 10 Plus

Sony also introduces high midrange smartphone which features same 21:9 aspect ratio but it has 6.5-inch LCD FHD+ display which is good, it powers with Snapdragon 636 SoC with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. On the rear side, the device has dual camera setup one is 12MP wide angle while other is 8MP telescopic. The device is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 but no water or dust proofing. The device has 3,000 mAh with fast charging capability. For the user, Sony has given headphone jack on the device. The device is priced at $430 and goes on sale in Mid-March.

Xperia 10

Xperia 10 has a cheaper approach to grab more useful as the device is priced at $350 for unlocking version which really good head to head with many mid-range devices. This device also follows the same 21:9 aspect ratio trend but the device has a smaller footprint as device feature 6.1-inch LCD HD+ display. The device is powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage with expandability option.

The camera on the rear side of the device has dual setup one 13MP wide angle and one 5MP wide angle lens. On the front, the side device features an 8MP camera lens.

The fingerprint sensor on all of these devices are on the side, all these devices support fast charging, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB-C support.
