• Microsoft minutely decrease the thickness from 9.1mm to 8.4mm this year. But it weigh about 2.5 pounds (1.13 kg) with their keyboard and pen while it is heavy as compared to earlier model.

  

• One of the biggest improvement over last’s year model is highly adjustable kickstand which can adjust between angle of 22 to 150 degree.
• Now the display Microsoft team managed to bring the display’s optical stack – the series of sensors, diodes and pixels beneath the glass even closer to the glass this time around which listen to like Apple’s Retinal display,  Microsoft’s called it as PixelSense screen technology. This helped the firm bring the slate’s thickness down by half a millimetres.

• Now the Surface pen can able to differentiates the 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity, the new-and-included Surface Pen is redesigned to feel more like a pencil. The stylus now has one flat side, as if a Number 2 pencil had all but two of its angles rounded off.
• Pen also include a new, and actually functional, eraser button up top. In addition to opening OneNote with a single press, the button now takes a screenshot and then opens OneNote with a double press. Finally, a long press triggers Cortana to ask your command.
• The Type Cover also gets some improvement as it managed to greatly widen the spacing between the keys. The new Type Cover is also slightly thicker and far more rigid than before, allowing for deeper key travel and nice feedback.

  

• Type cover also include the fingerprint which is a very nice and security feature that we must approach. The Surface Pro 4 Type Cover with Fingerprint sensor cost around $192. The Type Cover is only available in black, uses Windows Hello to login to the Surface with a fingertip press. • Now battery life is always a major issue with these types of devices as Surface able to mange 8 Hours 30 min battery life which is good in terms of Microsoft but as compared with Apple’s devices it won’t able to match battery as it fails to get even close to it.

• Microsoft able to take this ground with there Windows 10 OS which is very good and greatly optimise with Surface Pro which feels it it worth the cost.
• Many feature like Windows Hello, Cortana, OneNote with Surface Pen work seamlessly and awesome.
• And with Microsoft New Anniversary update Microsoft able to increase the level of productivity in the whole new level.

Overall

• Microsoft able to mange the Surface lineup very well and tells the new aspect what well do with 2 in 1 type tablet. But it not worth comparison with Apple’s Macbook lineup which is much better all aspects which Microsoft want to give in Surface.
• Usability doesn’t meant that devices with touch screen is good or it has some compatibility which Macbook doesn’t offer as we see wide aspect can it match the level of Laptop in terms of all task which we use laptop.
• It is good to compare it with iPad lineup which has share same concept which make comparison very easy but iPad has many good thing like its Apple Pencil which is much better as compared to Surface Pen, iPad is so thin and light which very easy to travel, battery life of iPad is phenomenal as compared to Surface. But Surface it also many thing to compete as it has full functional Windows 10 working which makes it a PC in many aspects.
• Overall Surface Pro 4 is costly device to buy as it doesn’t include it Keyboard and Surface Pen which is very bad in terms of offering.
• Optimal arrangement of surface is with Core i5 and half the RAM and storage, for $999.
• The entry-level Surface Pro 4 comes embedded an Intel Core m3 processor,same amount of storage and memory $899 which is very poor specs in terms day to day works that not mean watching movie or surfing internet.
