Ultrabook’s are always having low powered processor as it help the device to consume less power and more performance but Asus ZenBook UX 306 don’t have these limitation as it feature Intel’s 6th Gen Skylake Core i7 processor with 16GB of RAM which make this device more powerful and snappier than Core m7 which usually found in many Ultrabooks. Storage option include 256GB to 512 SATA 3 SSD which is optimal for usage.

Our review product has Core i7 6500U processor Dual-core 2.50 GHz model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. While using device don’t make you feel using a low powered device using Office Apps which run snappier and nice. Video editing of 4K with Corel Video Studio runs fast and without any issue. Device also include Intel’s Integrated Graphic card HD 520 which not handle very hard-core game but manages to keep its frame nice. But playing Overwatch in very low graphics option and resolution mange upto 60FPS of gaming.

Option of this device start from Processor option of Core i5 and i7 which sixth gen Intel processor which RAM option include 8GB or 16GB while Storage has 256GB upto 512GB SSD’s. Best optimum option in our choice is Core i5 model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD.

Connectivity    

Connectivity option device include Wi-FI 802.11ac and Bluetooth v4.2 while other purpose of Syncing include Type-C and USB 3.0 ports. For playing content device include Micro HDMI cable which helps a lot in magnifying your content on large-scale.

Interface 

Asus ZenBook UX 306 has pre-installed Windows 10 Pro which is best OS from Microsoft so far optimization of the OS with performance is awesome. Multitasking, Using new desktop or many feature of Windows 10 works here but only Windows Hello is not supported yet. Display of the device is not touch based so sorry for Windows 10 Anniversary update because Pen Paper interface will not able to run.

Audio 

Speaker on this device is not much appealing so while speaker are 2W Stereo Speakers which enough to fill your room spaces. Audio quality of the device good but not awesome some pitch of notes are bit too high and some are low. But overall its good and also this speaker is nice and clear in audio.

Heating

For Heating solution Asus uses frost cooling technology which cools Notebook lower part which means track-pad and palm rest position which upper side of keyboard is hot but manageable. Watching movies, Playing games left this Notebook remains cool but more complex processing power make it hot.

Keyboard And TrackPad

Keyboard of Asus ZenBook is Scissor mechanism normally uses in all notebook which is optimum for longer typing experience and missing keys are not happens. Keyboard of the device gets nice improvement with backlit support which help from dark.
While Trackpad has received nice improvement from last year as it has become more snappier and nice. While gesture are just nice and amazing.

Battery

Asus ZenBook gives large disappointment by giving only about 7 hour of usage as company said to give about 12 hour which hardly able to achieve with device. Playing games, Watching Youtube content and chrome. But things are little better if using it under lower brightness.

Overall

Asus ZenBook 306UX is nice Ultrabook with very nice spec into it. With very light and thin design. But battery of the device it pretty low as specified so this section must be improved. Using device for any purpose like office work, collage life or student this notebook never makes you regret.

• Playing games like thriller or shooting games really takes your breath away so nice and preciously crafted sound while full volume is enough to fill one room corner very easily and can extent half more.
• Vibration and bass experience also give more awesome experience of playing game which make you life real situation of game.

Cooling:

• Playing game as usual make your PC more hot while this device never compromise with experience as Acer has introduce a separate cooler called as FrostCore which is the best part of the device which really cools your Notebook at vey high level as liquid cooling not make its way to this notebook but inclusion may be good option.
• FrostCore is additional accessories which you need to purchase separately and works with ROM driver place as you remove ROM dive and plug this fan. Inclusion of all these fans make total tally of three fan but adding another cooler cost battery much.

Keyboard And Trackpad:

• Keyboard of the Predator is same all gaming Laptop with colorful keyboard with different color pattern looks nice and awesome. While keyboard look sturdy and nice also have long life.
• While Trackpad on the device comes with option of two button while there is lock button for locking trackpad and made this as a Touchpad so you not wrongly click button. This also looks nice in black layout and also tough.

Battery:

• Battery on this device give only about 3 hour 40 min in our gaming review while using simply as device for surfing or movie gives out about 6-7 hour of battery which is nice. As this device include a 8Cell, 88Wh of 6000mAh battery. While charger include a 180W AC adaptor which weigh about 600g.

Gaming:

• Gaming is the thing which is this device made for and no doubt it stand well in it. Playing games like Quantum Break, Call of Duty Advance Warfare, Just Cause 3, Tomb Raider 2016, Batman Arkham Knight and Witcher 3 all these run in good FPS around average of 60-70FPS which is really impressive for this PC. Playing game doesn’t fell any slow down not lag. Experience of sound and screen refresh rates are also nice.

Configuration Available:

On the first impression this device won’t look too costly but it is as Intital Configuration of the device include Intel’s Core i5 6300HQ Quad CPU with Nvidia GTX 970M 3GB of RAM. Display is also a F-HD, memory of the device include 32GB of RAM with all same configuration. This model is priced at $1599. While unit we are using it cost around $2699.

Overall:

Acer Predator 15 nice gaming laptop but won’t stand against its price as there is no luxury material or any wonderful hardware is put on this device. But Acer has nice approach to this device with more sturdy design, more lighting especially red color and material used.

Hardware spec of the device looks nice in the spec sheet but in real situation this device also works nice. Acer new cooling technology also plays nice game to bring this laptop different from other counter paths as it really nice cool laptop.

No doubt this heavy gaming gear is excellent in its performance that’ll never disappoint you to high-end games but if i look in market its price really too expensive as compared to other counterparts.
