As we are pretty close Apple’s 10th Anniversary iPhone, rumors and leaks finally clear out what to expect with this device. KGI Securities one of the renowned leaks gives us glimpse of what Apple is offering in next iPhone, Apple will announce all three new iPhone, 2 iPhone 7s which has 4.7-inch LCD and 5.5-inch LCD while next version will have major refreshment which is called as iPhone 8 and features 5.8-inch OLED Display, all these model will launch next month. Despite debuting at the same time iPhone 8 will face supply constraint due to part availability.
According to report Apple will start producing iPhone 8 in mid-September rather than mid- to late-October as expected earlier, but Apple could only make 2-4 million units or less are expected to be available during the third quarter of the year.
KGI also predicted that supply constraint of the OLED iPhone will persist into this holiday season and through the start of next year for the OLED iPhone due to supply and demand. While report breaks out that the new shipment for upcoming iPhone for the rest of the year will be 45-50 million OLED units, 35-38 million 4.7-inch LCD units, and 18-20 million 5.5-inch LCD units.
OLED iPhone will have more premium price than 5.5-inch LCD iPhone Plus. According to previous rumors, next iPhone OLED will cost about $1000 to $1200 which is way more than any other smartphone in the market.
Next version of iPhone will have only 3 color option as predicted by KGI these color are black, silver and gold. As current gen. iPhones have 6 color option Jet black, black, gold, silver, red and rose gold. New Gold color may look like new copper/bronze version of gold.
KGI also expects that all iPhone will have fast charging, as these fast charging option will only use with a USB-C Lightning cable which you can buy separately. While other two model looks exactly same as iPhone 7 and 7 Plus but with glass at the back.
