So many predictions and rumors related to the upcoming iPhone 2020 is spreading over the internet and along with this, it is now in news that Apple may reduce the production of current iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone Pro Max by approximately 25% in both the December and March quarters.

According to Rosenblatt analyst, Jun Zhang, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone Pro Max are not doing that much well and now the consumer is more towards the 5G model rather than 4G so that could also be the reason for cutting in production of iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max. He also predicts that the production of the iPhone 11 line up will be decreased by 60% in March 2020 as compared to iPhone production in March 2019.

However, there is another view about the production of the iPhone 11 line up as well. Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty said that there is no reduction in the production of iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone Pro Max, even this line up of Apple is doing well in the market so there is no need for cutting in production. She said all these things after she met with Apple’s CFO Luca Maestri and supply chain partner.

Instead of the sell of the iPhone 11 lineup, it is also important to pay attention to the market that is now more focusing on 5G smartphone and from this point of view, Zhang’s prediction seems more realistic. These days, 5G is gaining more attention and along with this, it was also the news that Qualcomm has started working with Apple to produce a smartphone that will be compatible with 5G.

Apart from this, Rosenblatt also said previously that Apple will release six new iPhone models next year. Among those six models, one will be the base model that may be named as iPhone 12 that may support 4G only while the high-end models like iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone Pro Max will support 5G.

However, this prediction varies from Ming-Chi Kuo’s prediction over the upcoming iPhone 12. Kuo said that Apple’s upcoming iPhone model will come in four variants with an OLED display and possibly iPhone SE 2 as well will come in 2020 as a low-cost smartphone by Apple.
