The Company announced its P10 & P10 Plus that are another hot pairs among their Android Smartphone lineup. It has been almost a year passed since the P9 & P9 Plus was introduced into the markets & since that time only there were some expectations started building out for its successor & here it comes.
Huawei P10 & P10 Plus Announced: Highlighting Specs From MWC 2017:
Huawei has announced its P10 & P10 Plus here at the MWC 2017 which is having improved software, an impressing camera this time & much more updations. Now we will be going through a quick tour to get the brief knowledge about the phone’s features & specifications.
The Design:
Both the handsets i.e P10 & P10 Plus feature a full metal unibody design having a side curvature slightly different from the other phones hence making the phone easy to hold the single hand. So the design of the new smartphone is moreover seemingly focussed on easy & comfortable handling. Looking very stylish, with the curved screen it is built out from aluminum having a little of Glass on the backside of the panel, but this one doesn’t resemble the predecessor’s design at all. Home button on the front features an embedded fingerprint sensor.
This time the glossier finish in place of matte finish tends to attract more & this may be the reason that the company has brought a new hyper diamond cut process for providing the phones much-improved textures. Further, no more camera bumps will be seen this time with the phone, instead of a glass visor housing the dual camera sensor with flash is the place.
Both the handset models will be made available in multi variants of Dazzling Blue, Graphite Black, Dazzling Gold, Rose Gold, Greenery, White Ceramic, Mystic Silver and Prestige Gold. And it is most important thing to note down that the Greenery color was also awarded as Pantone’s Color of the Year 2017, which will be more surprising to see with the P10 & P10 Plus this time.
The Display:
The company has equipped both the handsets with some different hardware but moreover, they look very similar. The P10 features 5.1 inches of IPS LCD display having a resolution of 1920 x 1080 while the P10 will be playing the big brother role & will be featuring 5.5 inches of IPS LCD display with a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440. Although Huawei has not ditched its so rumored HD displays yet with its flagship devices as both of them are an HD one.
Additionally, an unique feature that has been introduced by Huawei this time is the “Predictive Fingerprint Tracking” which helps the device to predict that where your finger will be going next which will be resulting in even better responses from the device.
The Specification & Performance:
Both the models of the Huawei smartphones will be running Android v7.0 Nougat & over the top, these will be the very first devices to run the new EMUI 5.1 hopefully. This theme in the EMUI 5.1 will adapt to the color phone that you have thus made the software & hardware to blend within themselves.
The P10 & P10 Plus are powered by the very owned Kirin 960 chipset with Octa-Core CPU with up to 2.3 GHz frequency, Mali-G71 as GPU & RAM of 4GB to 6GB with different storage combinations varying from 64GB to 128GB will be offered. Both devices also support microSD expansion up to 256GB. There is always something good & some bad things associated with every process & technology & same is with this chipset too.
The advantage with it is its ability to perform & feature more than adequate enough for delivering performance parity & a degree of future-proofing too. While the disadvantage over Snapdragon 830 & the Exynos 8895 is that it has been produced on an older 16 nm process whereas they are made at 10 nm.
The Camera:
Moving on to the camera again the company has continued its partnership with German optics company i.e Lecia hence bringing up a Dual camera 2.0 setup for P10 with features like precise 3D facial detection, dynamic illumination, portrait enhancements, natural bokeh effect, and Huawei Hybrid Zoom.
Providing a 20MP monochrome sensor & a 12MP RGB sensor thus combining the fine detail from the black-and-white sensor with the colors from the RGB sensor. At the front, a 8MP camera sensor will be easily handling to take as much you want. Also, Huawei has added a new depth-of-field algorithm for a natural bokeh effect. The company’s Leica Dual-Camera 2.0 Pro Edition on the Huawei P10 Plus includes new Summilux-H Leica lenses with a larger F/1.8 aperture and higher optical capability.
Connectivity:
As per the Connectivity features are concerned the phone is packed up with the latest modem i.e the P10 & P10 Plus are the World’s first 4.5G LTE smartphone having the capability to reach up to 600 Mbps of downlink speeds to the CAT12 standard. Also, the phones feature MIMO antennas & 2 x 2 Wi-Fi MIMO antennas for much faster Wireless speeds.
The Battery:
The Battery for both the models differs a little bit as the Huawei P10 sports a non-removable 3,200mAh cell, while the P10 Plus has a larger 3,750mAh unit. In case you’re thinking the P10’s battery is on the low side, remember that the device has a Full HD screen, which will definitely help it last much longer on a single charge.
Price & Availability:
Both the P10 & P10 Plus will be made available in multiple countries by this March & the price for the P10 in Europe will be around $690 according to the company while the Plus model will be starting at a price of $743.
