The Californian Tech Giant Apple Inc. was forced to shift its annual developer conference (WWDC 2020) to online-only because of the storming acrimony situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic. WWDC is the annual developer conference hosted by Apple Inc. It collates developers from around the world to witness the launch of the latest software patches and features that Apple Inc. wants to push out to all its users around the world.
WWDC20 Date Schedule On June 22:
After the official statement from Apple went live revealing the fact that WWDC20 will an online-only event the world was quite disappointed even though they praised this move from the end of Apple Inc. stating that ‘It was the most appropriate step that one could have taken’ but there was no word about the dates of that event. Usually, the event goes as long as three days.
Today, Apple lifted the curtain off from the dates and announced that WWDC20 will be an online-only event starting from the 22nd of June,2020. The whole world took Twitter to express their feelings. Conventionally, WWDC was used to host about 6K nerds around the world to showcase their innovations on the software front.
We expect the unveiling of iOS 14 and Watch OS 7 at WWDC 2020. There were some leaks floating around the street of technology revealing some upcoming features of the latest software developments from the house of tech-giant of which we will talk about in some of our upcoming articles.
Apple also announced the ‘Swift Student Challenge’ that turns out to be a platform for students to display their affection towards programming by creating and showcasing some Swift Playgrounds and apps.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, said “As we look forward to WWDC20, although our gathering will be virtual this year, we want to recognize and celebrate the creative contributions of our young developers from around the world. We can’t wait to see this next generation of innovative thinkers turn their ideas into a reality through the Swift Student Challenge.”
