A few days back, Apple came with its Updated MacBook Air 2020 that has improved internal performance and a redesigned scissor-switch magic Keyboard. After these changes, MacBook Air and 16-inch MacBook Pro both are having the new keyboard design.
The first-time butterfly keyboard was introduced by Apple back in 2015 when they launched the 2-inch MacBook. After that, the butterfly keyboard showed some problem as well but in 2016 again when the company launched the MacBook Pro lineup with the same feature and later in 2018, Apple doubled the production of MacPro and MacBook Air with the butterfly keyboard design.
The 2018 version of the MacBook came with a thin silicone barrier under each key. After that Apple released 4th generation of MacBook with the butterfly keyboard and the updated version claimed that all issues have been resolved that were faced by the users related to the keyboard and it also came with new membrane cover and dome switches that provided more reliability and quieter typing.
In order to provide an all-round good experience to their users although the company has provided free of cost repair for its keyboard service program. The day when the company released the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air in July 2019, it came with the keyboard service program, so that if any user faced any issue related to the keyboard they can easily get resolved.
Apple MacBook Air 2020 With Magic Keyboard For More Durability Then Previous
Last year in November, Apple introduced a “magic keyboard” that is a scissor-switch keyboard in 16 -inch MacBook Pro and came out to be more reliable. Now Apple introduced the same keyboard in MacBook Air 2020. The magic keyboard is the refined scissor mechanism with 1 millimeter of travel that delivers a responsive, comfortable, quiet & better typing experience newer MacBook Air 2020.
In last year November, Apple updated the 15-inch MacBook Pro to 16-inch MacBook Pro that featured a magic keyboard and they stopped the production of 12-inch MacBook Pro, so it means that you will see only 13 – inch MacBook Pro that is in the market with the butterfly keyboard.
However, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that Apple is working on introducing a magic keyboard in 13-inch MacBook Pro as well. If it is going to be true then it is possible that we may get it this year only.
It is also expecting that the 13-inch MacBook Pro may get more updates and it will come out as a better version of the existing one as it may get less bezel and increase in screen size. In between all these expectations, it is not clear whether the screen size will be 14-inch or not with mini-LED.
So at this time, somewhere we can say MacBook Air 2020 is comparatively better than the currently available 13-inch MacBook as it has a much better magic board and the price is also less for this. MacBook Air 2020 is announced at a starting price of $999 that is less than its 2018 version price that was $1,199, and down from the 2019 price drop to $1,099. While the price for Retina Air starts from $1,000.
