Apple has given Order To Samsung For 70 Million Units Of Bendable OLED Display Apple is soon going to release its much-awaited smartphone iPhone 8 this year. A new information related with the iPhone 8 is that Apple has given an order to Samsung for 70 million “bendable” OLED display which will be used in iPhone 8.
Samsung is the only one to supply OLED panels for the iPhone 8 to the Apple with most advanced technology. Samsung used its OLED display in its own smartphones. In accordance with the report of Nikkei, Apple has given the order for 70 million panels while Samsung is going to produce 95 million panels by the end of the year.
Apple is expecting huge demand for anniversary edition iPhone 8
The 70 million unit gives the idea that Apple is expecting huge demand for the iPhone 8 this year. Some analyst believes that on the basis of previous performance of Apple it is not sure that Apple will be able to sell all 70 million units in the same year. It is also possible that Apple wants to ready some models in advance in case if the demand for the smartphone will show the rise.
It is expected that Apple will release three editions of iPhone on its Tenth Anniversary this year. Three models will name as iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 will feature 5.2-inch OLED screen with curved edges, without Home button and have fingerprint sensor embedded into the display while iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus will have physical Home Button and will come in LCD display. All the three devices reportedly will come with the wireless charging. However, the company is still resolving the overheating issues that are associated with the device.
Being the anniversary edition iPhone 8 may also have 3D sensing and it may support new biometric technologies like facial recognition feature. The anniversary edition is expected to come at the cost $900 to $1,000 suggested by some analyst.
iPhone 8 is expecting to be most advanced smartphone having many new features in it including the improved camera, faster A11 processor, and Touch ID.
