Apple iOS 13 has brought innovative as well as a simple feature to the iOS devices including iPadOS. Apple also merged their Find My iPhone app with Find My Friend app into one single and easy to use Find My app, user can see their family member devices (if shared) and their device into a section of the app while they can see their friends location on the other (if shared).
But this App has more capability as after the launch of iOS 13 internal beta, Apple has added a new section to add your Bluetooth device inside the app. But this doesn’t mean any Bluetooth device, Apple is planning to launch their own Tile-like accessory that will help to track your belonging like wallets, backpacks, etc, according to an internal build of iOS 13 seen by MacRumors.
The leaks images suggest a device which is circular in size, with the Apple logo in the center, like other Bluetooth trackers. The final version of the device may changes if Apple made any other design decision.
This device looks the same which was confirmed by 9To5 Mac earlier this year. The tag was in production from April codenamed as “B389”. The main attraction of tag is the Apple ecosystem support as recently Find My app is capable of tracking switched off the device with nearby Apple device without having any wired connection. Apple uses Bluetooth feature which made this feature possible.
User will receive a notification there if belonging were far reached from them so that they can track their product easily. If necessary, users can then tap a button in the Find My app that will cause Apple’s tag to start emitting an audible chime to help locate the lost item. Apple Tile may have limited battery support of 6-12 month or they made the device chargeable which may result in lower e-waste.
Apple also features AR feature to their Find My app so that the user can virtually locate their device. Like Pixie Tracker Apple will bring this feature from their ARKit SDK. The internal build of iOS 14 also includes a 3D red balloon which may show user pinpoint of their belongings.
Apple also hides some icons related to certain tags to your backpacks, cycles, keys and various other. So that you can easily find the things hassle-free.
The internal build was released for iOS 13 from June but the developer beta or public beta still not able to see this feature. As Apple may bring this feature later in iOS 13.1 as Apple still focuses to make iOS 13 more stable release rather than adding more feature. iOS 13 made available to the general public from later this month after the iPhone event which is going to held on September 10 at Steve Jobs Theater, where it is widely expected that Apple is going to release iPhone and Watch. It has been an exciting week so stay tuned to us for more tech news.
