Apple has updated the AirPods recently with the inclusion of Wireless Charging, new H1 Chipset with Bluetooth 5 support all these changes leads to better Hey Siri support, battery life and reliable connection of the device.
But Apple hasn’t stopped, they are developing a more advanced version of AirPods which may include Water Resistance capability according to Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives. The first two generations of AirPods do not have IP-rated water or dust resistance.
Apple also made some design tweaks to the AirPods as according to a research note this week, shared by Philip Elmer-DeWitt. Apple has implemented the same design which they carried from 2013 EarPods and they add wireless capability but still, this design has some disadvantages as many users won’t able to fit the AirPods perfectly which causes the drop or fall of the AirPods.
Bloomberg’s reporter Mark Gurman was first to reveal the feature Apple will release with 2nd Gen. AirPods back in February 2018 but after a lot of delays, Apple finally launches 2nd Gen. AirPods in March of 2019. In June 2018 he also reported that Apple is working on other versions of AirPods which include Water Resistance and Noise Cancellation.
Gurman also reported that Apple is developing over-headphones with noise cancellation that could launch as early as this year. The headphones are said to be “studio quality” which clearly mean that the device really cost much but have a feature packed into it.
In April Ming-Chi Kuo also suggested that two new AirPods will likely go in mass production between the fourth quarter of 2019 and first quarter of 2020, with one of the new models featuring all new design. As Jonny, I’ve leaves Apple formally it is interesting to see how Apple will coup up from this situation and made other great products.
Apple next Gen. AirPods will more interesting technologies and also include Apple custom H2 Chipset which features more interesting technology.
