After the establishment of the Flying taxi division by Hyundai, it can be said that soon the world will have flying taxi service. However, it is still not clear that when the production of the first Hyundai taxi will get started. The flying taxi refers to as “personal air vehicle” that will be shown along with an autonomous concept car that is “Purpose-built vehicle”. Hyundai Taxi claims that this vehicle will have customizable designs.

Hyundai further added that the flying taxi will lead to free space on city streets so it will “give back quality time to city commuters”. There are several other companies including Uber that are working on the same flying taxi project and all of them are in planning to use airborne ridesharing services. Uber is one of the leading terrestrial taxi companies that is now going to expand its business in flying taxis and the pilot program for the same is planned in Los Angeles and Dallas. Hyundai also has not provided any information regarding how its taxi service will be different from other companies.

If you think about that flying taxi instead of the regular one, it may be exciting but bring this thing into reality is surely going to be a difficult task for the companies as it needs a very different type of aircraft and safety is one of the biggest concerns.
