The first time Razer launched the router with Sila that is a gaming router in 2018, this gaming router was designed by the company to offer high-speed and reliable Wi-Fi performance for gaming.  After that Now at CES 2020, Razer has come up with a 5G version of router named Sila 5G. This 5G router would rely on a wireless 5G connection for internet connection instead of the regular cable.

This 5G Router featured with a rechargeable battery that makes it different from other routers available in the market. Rechargeable battery allows it to double as a mobile hotspot – albeit a mobile hotspot that has four Ethernet ports and that can run a small LAN tournament along with you wherever you go.

Razer Sila 5G Router has FastTrack technology which is the traffic management tool to automatically analyze and prioritizes traffic on the router, gaming mode is also present in that. According to Razer, users will also be able to prioritize particular hardware or app by their own. In order to manage the settings of Sila 5G that includes creating guest networks or charging network priorities, iOS and Android apps can be used.

The hardware components that are part of this router include Qualcomm’s X55 modem for connecting to 5G networks as well as LTE. The Hawkeye IPQ8072A chipset handles the Wi-Fi feature of the route, this chipset is able to support Wi-Fi 6 and Sila 5G router also includes the Chroma lighting as well. The cost of the router and when it will be available in the market is not announced yet.
