In the upcoming three to four years, we might be the witness of four to six Apple products that will have a mini-LED display and this indication is given by Apple’s Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Apple is all set to introduce a 12.9-inch iPad Pro that will be incorporated with an A14X chip and all-new 16-inch MacBook Pro, both of the devices will come with an LED display.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, there is a possibility that a 12.9-inch iPad Pro will come by the third quarter of 2020 while the 16-inch MacBook Pro can come in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Kuo mentioned that the Mini -LED display will significantly improve productivity and entertainment experience.
Even before that, Kuo has talked about LED displays and said that because of Mini-LED display product design will become thinner and lighter and all other features such as good wide color gamut performance, high contrast, and dynamic range, and local dimming for truer blacks will going to remain same like OLED display that is present in current iPhones. Approximately 10,000 LEDs may be used in each of the iPad and MacBook displays which is much more in comparison to 576 that will be present in the upcoming Pro display XDR.
Further, According to Kuo, Apple might be taking help from LG display and GIS for the Mini-LED display products
