Apple puts its Pro MacBook users in a great dilemma as this year’s most expected product MacBook Pro 16” still not able to make its appearance, as it is expected that 16” MacBook Pro will bring quite a lot improvement as compared with recent MacBook Pro 2019. While it is unclear still that MacBook Pro 16-inch could make its appearance this year or 2020, the latest report from DigiTimes claims that Apple will be receiving volume shipments of the notebook in the fourth quarter of this year. Taiwan-based manufacturer Quanta Computer is said to be the key supplier.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro will be a replacement for a 15-inch MacBook Pro with some better improvement like Ultra-thin bezel design, the overall size of the new MacBook Pro 16-inch might be similar to existing MacBook Pro 15 inch with larger Display. Apple also gets rid of the Butterfly keyboard from MacBook Pro this time as they again bring Scissor mechanism keys back to MacBook Pro as this may more keyspace but give better stability than the Apple Butterfly keyboard. GPU of MacBook Pro may also receive some update with CPU update which may include Intel’s 10th Gen. CPU’s.

Apple also hinted at the new MacBook Pro 16-inch in their latest macOS Catalina which could give us an approximation of releasing date of MacBook Pro. MacBook Pro 16-inch TouchID will likely be separated from the Touch Bar in the notebook. The leaked Touch Bar design lends credence to the Esc key also being a separate, physical key again, as can be seen when zooming in to the previously leaked 16-inch MacBook Pro icon.

Apple receiving volume shipments of the 16-inch MacBook Pro in the fourth quarter does not necessarily mean the notebook will launch in the fourth quarter. Apple may simply be planning to stockpile the 16-inch MacBook Pro ahead of the U.S. government’s proposed 15 percent import tariff on an additional round of Chinese goods, including notebooks, slated to take effect December 15.

According to a report from DigiTimes, it is expected that Apple could launch MacBook Pro 16-inch by end of October but they launch AirPods Pro instead. Apple also launches their iPad Pro along with next-gen. MacBook Pro.
