Apple Announces Its iPhone X, Featuring OLED Display, Face ID & No Home Button: First of all I would like you all to introduce with the correct name of this newly announced iPhone X, don’t get confused with the ‘X’ as ex but this time it will be pronounced as ‘ten’. I knew that most of us who haven’t checked out the Apple’s Keynote from the Launch Event of iPhone X must go wrong in pronouncing it & that’s a big deal after all. For the first time in iPhone’s history, they are featuring an OLED display with a vision of creating an iPhone with the whole screen, that means there is no any Home button this time. The iPhone X has been made so intelligent that it can respond even to a Tap, a voice & also even a Glance now, so the vision now seems to be converted into reality.
iPhone X Launched But Without Any Home Button This Time:
Another new thing that you all will get to see the iPhone X, is the absence of the Home Button while for unlocking the device a new Face ID has now been introduced in place of the traditional Touch ID like the earlier iPhones. Siri is just a button tap away now if you don’t use the voice command, you just have to hold a side button to get Apple’s assistant going.
There are much more new additions to the iPhone X than expected so we will be taking you through each of them briefly one by one:
Introducing The A11 Bionic With iPhone X For Superhuman Intelligence:
Apple has unveiled its new A11 Bionic chip that comes powering the latest iPhone X & it is also the most powerful and smartest chip ever in a smartphone, with a Neural Engine that’s capable of up to 600 billion operations per second. With the A11 Bionic the iPhone X has a faster CPU that was made possible through the four efficiency cores in the all‑new CPU are up to 70 percent faster than A10 Fusion & the two performance cores are up to 25 percent faster.
Going towards the Power efficiency it has a second generation performance controller and custom battery design that lasts up to two hours longer between charges than an iPhone 7. Also, the GPU installed has been specifically designed by Apple itself & it has three‑core GPU is up to 30 percent faster than A10 Fusion. In addition, the A11 Bionic also powers extraordinary augmented reality experiences in games and apps.
Art Of Photography Simplified With The iPhone X:
This new device from Apple has improved cameras, having a larger & faster 12MP sensors, a new color filter, much deeper pixels & also a new telephoto camera with OIS with it at the rear end for outstanding photos & videos in even lower lights. Also, the Portrait lighting with Depth sensing cameras & precise facial mapping creates striking studio quality lighting effects at the front.
Talking about the Optical Zooming abilities of the iPhone X it has wide angle & telephoto cameras with enabled optical & digital zoom up to 10x for photos & 6x for videos.
The iPhone X also strikes through another great & unique feature that is named as Animoji, that is being introduced with the help of its newly introduced TrueDepth camera that analyzes more than 50 different muscle movements to mirror your expressions in 12 Animoji. So you can now reveal your inner panda, pig, or robot & express it with your friends through iMessenger.
iPhone X Features A Super Retina OLED Display:
This iPhone is not at all similar to the predecessors anymore as it features an all new 5.8 inches of Super Retina HD Display that too fills the hand while dazzling the eyes with its fabulous design & a resolution of 2436 x 1125 with 458 ppi.
All of this has been possible with an Innovative Technology into the Display that employs new techniques & technology for precisely following the curves of the design, all the way to the elegantly rounded corners.
The device is having the first OLED screen that has raised up to the standards of any iPhone, with its accurate, stunning colors, the true blacks, higher brightness & also a contrast ratio of 1,000,000 to 1. The iPhone X is a true High Dynamic Range (HDR) display, so one can easily watch movies and shows in Dolby Vision and HDR10 & the HDR photos will look even more amazing than ever.
iPhone X Designed To Balance The Edges:
The iPhone X is using the innovative folding and circuit stacking technology & the OLED panel follows the curves of the device into the farthest reaches of the corners. Then it uses a process called sub pixel anti-aliasing to tune individual pixels for smooth, distortion-free edges. The glass used at the front & back of the device is the most durable glass ever embedded into any smartphone. The iPhone X is precision-engineered at the microscopic level to protect against water, splashes, and dust too like the earlier iPhones.
But this time it has a strengthening layer that’s 50 percent deeper than ever & also a seven-layer ink process allows for precise hues and opacity, and a reflective optical layer enhances the colors. Also, an oleophobic coating lets you easily wipe off smudges and fingerprints this time. The stainless steel band that wraps around and reinforces iPhone X is a special Apple-designed alloy that’s both durable and purer, and it polishes beautifully. For space gray finish, we use a process called physical vapor deposition to precisely match the color of the stainless steel band to that of the glass.
Introducing Wireless Charging To The iPhone With iPhone X:
Although it is not any new thing to other smartphones Apple has introduced the Wireless charging for the very first time & also has always intended iPhone to be a truly wireless device, free from charging cables and headphone cords. With a glass back and an embedded wireless charging system, iPhone X is designed for a wireless future. With no charging cable required, iPhone X is truly designed for the future of wireless, where the users will be able to Charge with wireless charging stations and mats in hotels, cafes, and airports around the world.
More Secure Authentication With Face ID:
Gone are the days of FingerPrint authentication for secure logins, the Face ID uses your face as your password & this also promises to be a secure new way to unlock, authenticate & pay. Face ID is adding another revolution in recognition this time to the iPhone with its front facing TrueDepth Camera & that is one of the most sophisticated technology to be developed that include Cameras & Sensors for enabling the Face ID. This all is housed into a tiny space at the top of the display.
The Face ID setup consists:
- Dot Projector that projects and analyzes more than 30,000 invisible dots to create a precise depth map of your face.
- An Infrared Camera that reads the dot pattern captures an infrared image, then sends the data to the secure enclave in the A11 Bionic chip to confirm a match.
- A Flood Illuminator through which Invisible infrared light helps identify your face even when it’s dark.
More secure authentication has been confirmed with the iPhone X as it unlocks only when you’re looking at it. It’s designed to resist spoofing by photos or masks. Your facial map is encrypted and protected by the Secure Enclave & authentication happens instantly on the device, not in the cloud. The A11 Bionic chip uses machine learning to recognize changes in your appearance & the either you put on glasses or Wear a hat or Grow a beard, Your friends might not recognize you but still, the iPhone X will for sure.
