Following the success of Mi A2 last year, Xiaomi has officially announced the new member of the world’s most popular Android One series – Mi A3. You had already known about its arresting specs; those have really ended up meeting our expectations. Today, let’s have a quick roundup on how the next-generation Mi A3 differs from its predecessor. Trust me, it’ll clear your doubts about the new Android One device from Xiaomi if you have any.
Dimensions
The dimensions of the next-generation Mi A3 are slightly less than Mi A2’s. Mi A3 has 153.48mm height and 71.85mm width, while, on the other side, Mi A2 has 158.7mm height and 75.4mm width. But the lesser bezel gives Mi A3 more space for display, unlike the former one.
Display
Mi A3 offers a large 6.088” HD+ AMOLED dot-drop display which delivers an aspect ratio of 19:5:9, a contrast ratio of 60000:1 and a pixel resolution of 1560 × 720 (286 ppi pixel density).
On the other hand, Mi A2 features a 5.99″ FHD+ 18:9 full-screen display; it has a contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a pixel resolution of 2160 × 1080 (403 ppi pixel density). On the front, both have Corning® Gorilla™ Glass 5 and 2.5D curved glass which protect those against accidental drops.
Camera
When it comes to the camera, Mi A3 unquestionably has a huge leap over Mi A2. On rear and front, the new Android One device has an AI 48MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup and a 32MP AI selfie camera, respectively.
Meanwhile, Mi A2 highlights a dual 20MP + 12MP camera setup on the rear and a 20MP selfie camera, on front. Being backed by Xiaomi’s advanced AI and handy camera features on both cameras, Mi A3 lets you take better photos than ever before, in every state.
Processor
Mi A3 is powered by Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 665, while, Mi A2 comes packed with Snapdragon™ 660. Due to the differences between 11nm and 14nm manufacturing process, Mi A3 is capable of producing more power-efficiency performance than Mi A2. Besides, Mi A3’s Adreno™ 610 GPU clearly has an upper hand over Mi A2’s Adreno™ 512 – only for this reason, #PhotosWithoutLimits can deliver richer, smoother gaming experience. What’s more, Snapdragon™ 665 easily delivers 2x faster AI experiences than the predecessor.
Battery
Once again, let’s experience a huge leap over Mi A2, with Mi A3. Mi A3 has a massive 4030mAh battery which offers a standby time of 20 days, 30 hours of call time and 13 hours of gaming, while on the other hand, the precursor is fueled by 3010mAh battery.
Aware Opinion
It is true that with the launch of Mi A3, we got to see so many upgrades over Mi A2 – be it design, fingerprint sensor or anything else. On Mi A2, we had removed the headphone jack, but due to the increasing demand, They have brought 3.5mm jack back on Mi A3, again. Mi A3 offers a seamlessly-curved 3D rear design for impeccable hand feel; the ultra-thin glass design is for having a premium finish. Unlike Mi A2, the new giant of Android One also features an in-screen 7th generation super-fast fingerprint sensor.
