Microsoft Surface Products are already suffering aging as Intel have announced their 10th Gen. CPU’s along with next Gen. GPU’s. Microsoft Product still supports 8th Gen. Coffee Lake Processor which made the device to suffer in terms of speed as well as technology. As the competitions offering 9th Gen. Intel CPU along with new Core i9 Processor which made the device more dramatically faster than expected. Surface devices also were also lagging in terms of connectivity ports as they still have USB Type-A rather than Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 which make a major drawback for further of these devices.
Microsoft recently sends invite of their upcoming event on 2nd October in New York City. Last year Microsoft has announced their product in the fall of 2018 in which they introduce Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, Surface Studio 2 and Surface Headphones. This year it is expected that Microsoft may introduce Surface Laptop 3, Surface Book 3, Surface Pro 7. All these devices are expected to have a performance upgrade other upgrades like the design or other this was still not revealed. Microsoft has put more secrecy for building their hardware as compared to other brands they don’t want to create more hype.
Taking about the product it is expected that all devices will include Intel’s latest 9th Gen. CPU. Along with graphics update, Surface Book 3 may include Nvidia’s GPU may include RTX GPU. On the hardware side, Microsoft has to make a new design approach along with new port selection which should include Type-C port or Thunderbolt 3 options.
Along with the usual upgrade is expected that Microsoft may bring a dual-screen foldable device which may announce in this event, Microsoft may also bring a new iteration of Headphones.
