Samsung is back in action to provide us a delightful experience with the much awaited Note 8. But as most of us are already confused & taking the newly launched as the S8+ with a S Pen & that would not be wrong as far as it display & specs are to be considered except that Wireless charging. Samsung has been delivering out its best series of Note line ups since start although it has also seen some tough times like last year’s but that is a part of every brands progress, everyone faces a lower phase sometime. The Good thing is that Samsung is back again with perfectly packed Note 8 & has an addition of S Pen.
Everything You Would Want In A Smartphone Is Here In Samsung Note 8, Out Now:
The Note 8 has a very similar & massive display of 6.3 inches as that of the S8 Plus, which has increased by time from 5.7 inches to such a large one. Having curved edges the Note 8 is although difficult to handle single handed but the slopes on the sides helps to mitigate from considering a bigger screen size. The display again is a narrow one while continuing being taller with a ratio 18:5:9 as of now the curves seems dialed back a tad & slopes seems to be significantly steeper than before. It just looks amazing while seeing it when powered on, at such huge & beautiful display.
Talking about the physical buttons that has been replaced with an equivalently placed under screen sensors which will sense with a hard press from where the home button used to be. Additionally the Bixby button has also found a place in the Note Lineup this time which looks good along side the Super AMOLED infinity display. And most importantly all this have been backed up with a 3300 mAh of battery for easy whole day survival.
Powered by the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor & having a RAM of 6GB, the Note 8 gets what it was built for. With this increase in RAM, Samsung for the first time made up its specs past a 4GB RAM which seems good as far as the features associated with the S Pen is considered. Users are also having fun using the split screen view more efficiently on such a larger display than ever with additional dual app shotcuts i.e the App Pair. The S Pen has brought up several other new features along with it & that can be noticibly found on the device once used.
Talking about the Camera here & as expected it is a dual one as per folwing the now a days trends of market & user demands. The Note 8 is equipped with two 12MP cameras keeping the regular / wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/1.7, and the telephoto lens is f/2.4. In this device both the sensors offer optical image stabilization. Which will allow the Note to utilize its telephoto camera more often instead of defaulting to the regular camera in low-light conditions too. 10x digital zoom is possible throughout with some losses in quality, but having OIS as part of the zoom lens is a big deal this time. Although Samsung has introduced its own portrait mode, which blurs the background behind your subject to mimic bokeh & a “Dual Capture” mode stitches together photos from both cameras and saves them individually.
While moving towards the Software section Note 8 is being shipped with Android 7.1.1 keeping it identical with that of the S8. The Bixby here has marked its presence with a dedicated button on the device. Samsung has also introduced the DeX to the Note, so if you buy the required dock, you can plug it into a monitor for a desktop-like experience with a mouse and keyboard.
