    Microsoft Surface Studio PC: World’s Thinnest LCD:

    The Surface Studio was unveiled with All-in-One factors which were “World’s thinnest LCD monitor ever built” with just 12.5mm of thickness, it boasts 13.5 million pixels on the 28 inches forged aluminum enclosed touch screen. According to Panay this much of display (i.e. 3:2 aspect ratio with 192 pixels per inch) output is almost 63% more than a 4K television.

    This product mainly focuses on artists, photographers & designers who are in need of high-end horsepower & a pixel perfect display. It is Optimized for taking full advantage of the “Creators Update” to Windows 10 which also brings several features like 3D update for Microsoft Paint.

     Adjustable with a Hinge:

    It is provided for easy adjustments for the full utility of the Surface Studio as Touchscreen display with a “Zero Gravity Hinge”. It is designed to fold down at 20-degree angle at the desk very similar to a drafting table, with the  hinge technology.

    The Studio also supports several accessories with it including the Surface Pen & a new Radial accessory i.e. Surface Dial (a metal wheel) which can be directly placed on the Studio to enhance the menus & other features like scrolling during document reading etc. With a built-in palm rejection for the touch screen user will not be allowed for any false inputs through the touch screen.

    A front facing camera which is 5 MP with Windows Hello Support & a rear camera for video of 1080p will be featuring the device. As far as sound is considered it is enhanced by the use of Stereo 2.1 Dolby Audio. Microsoft if offering the Studio with a wireless connectivity with 802.11ac wi-Fi & Bluetooth 4.0 for easy connectivities.

    With a built-in microphone array, it will be easy to activate the Windows 10 very personal assistant i.e. Cortana from across the room.

     Availability:

    It will be most probably available by the end of the year and preorders have already begun. The Surface Studio will be available for $2,999, $3,499 or $4,199 depending on the hardware options you choose. It will also be showcased in the stores after the release, so you may get it that way too.

    It seems like Microsoft’s hardware division is directly ramping up in competition with numerous Windows PC vendors now. Also taking on the Apple’s iMac, that is a popular desktop for professionals in the list.
