As it comes from its predecessors of Surface line-up it has the old design element with some new twist. The design is Flawless with a phenomenal internals.

• Surface Pro is get in line between laptop and tablet as is able to do all PC’s work in the tablet as it is compared with iPad or iPad Pro which itself if most productive device yet.
• As we compare Windows with iOS they both have different aspects of comparison. As Windows app stores still has poor collection of apps as compared with iOS. With its PC compatibility overpower iPad with its productivity.
• On the onset of Surface it faces troubles but after some days it able to make it path. Microsoft continuously improving Surface with regular updates which able to compete other OS in therms of productivity.
• The new Anniversary update has many thing to offer as it increase the power of pen and pc with many new level of approach.

Surface has many thing to offer people like student, business, new comers and many like them. Let’s see how it catch up in today’s market as the arrival of many products from other manufacturers.

Design and display

• Microsoft this year uses same old approach in design as in Surface Pro 3 with all-magnesium, unibody casing with new Microsoft new logo. Overall design is awesome with screen size 12.3 inches.
• Microsoft minutely decrease the thickness from 9.1mm to 8.4mm this year. But it weigh about 2.5 pounds (1.13 kg) with their keyboard and pen while it is heavy as compared to earlier model.

  

• One of the biggest improvement over last’s year model is highly adjustable kickstand which can adjust between angle of 22 to 150 degree.
• Now the display Microsoft team managed to bring the display’s optical stack – the series of sensors, diodes and pixels beneath the glass even closer to the glass this time around which listen to like Apple’s Retinal display,  Microsoft’s called it as PixelSense screen technology. This helped the firm bring the slate’s thickness down by half a millimetres.
• This is done to make Surface pen more responsive as compared to last’s year model but it not able to close to Apple pencil responsiveness which nearly replicate your handwriting with pencil and palm rejection technology. But as in Surface the display is incredibly responsive to touch, and the further sensitivity it brings to the stylus experience is huge. Microsoft also increase the capacity of the Surface pen screen detects 1,024 levels of pressure, even during a single stroke.
• Screen of Surface Pro 4 is awesome with its clarity, color reproduction, brightness and many more feature. Microsoft boosted Surface Pro’s resolution from 2,160 x 1,440 (216 ppi, or pixels per inch) in the old model to 2,736 x 1,824.

Accessories:Surface Pen and Type Cover

• Surface accessories are best companion and must buy because without these accessories surface won’t able to show its full potential. Microsoft offer two best companion accessories which seamlessly work with Surface Surface Pen and type cover. This year Microsoft add many new feature to these two products Surface Pen and type cover.

  

• Now the Surface pen can able to differentiates the 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity, the new-and-included Surface Pen is redesigned to feel more like a pencil. The stylus now has one flat side, as if a Number 2 pencil had all but two of its angles rounded off.
• Pen also include a new, and actually functional, eraser button up top. In addition to opening OneNote with a single press, the button now takes a screenshot and then opens OneNote with a double press. Finally, a long press triggers Cortana to ask your command.
• The Type Cover also gets some improvement as it managed to greatly widen the spacing between the keys. The new Type Cover is also slightly thicker and far more rigid than before, allowing for deeper key travel and nice feedback.

  

• Type cover also include the fingerprint which is a very nice and security feature that we must approach. The Surface Pro 4 Type Cover with Fingerprint sensor cost around $192. The Type Cover is only available in black, uses Windows Hello to login to the Surface with a fingertip press. Microsoft has refined the use of fingerprint in overall UI as you’ll able to do many thing.

Hardware

• As from inside the new Surface Pro has Intel’s New 6th generation Skylake processor with option to choose from m3,i5 and i7 processors.  As we see Core i5 CPU it uses 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-6300U (dual-core, 3MB cache, up to 3GHz with Turbo Boost) with with Intel HD Graphics 520. It has 8GB LPDDR3 which is good as we see in this type of tablet.
• High end specification include Intel Core i7-6650U coupled Intel Iris 540 graphics with memory of 16GB of Ram with all same above arrangement.
• It has storage option of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of SSD (PCIe 3.0)

  

• Ports in the Surface is sufficient as it include 1x USB 3.0, mini DisplayPort, microSD card reader (UHS-I), headphone/mic jack.

  

• As far connectivity concerns it uses the new 802.11ac Wi-Fi (2 x 2 MIMO) with Bluetooth 4.0 (Low Energy).
• Cameras in the surface is good and very use full as rear measure 8MP auto-focus camera (1080p HD) and the rear 5MP front-facing 1080p HD camera

Battery life

• Now battery life is always a major issue with these types of devices as Surface able to mange 8 Hours 30 min battery life which is good in terms of Microsoft but as compared with Apple’s devices it won’t able to match battery as it fails to get even close to it.

Interface

• Microsoft able to take this ground with there Windows 10 OS which is very good and greatly optimise with Surface Pro which feels it it worth the cost.
• Many feature like Windows Hello, Cortana, OneNote with Surface Pen work seamlessly and awesome.
• And with Microsoft New Anniversary update Microsoft able to increase the level of productivity in the whole new level.

Overall

• Microsoft able to mange the Surface lineup very well and tells the new aspect what well do with 2 in 1 type tablet. But it not worth comparison with Apple’s Macbook lineup which is much better all aspects which Microsoft want to give in Surface.
• Usability doesn’t meant that devices with touch screen is good or it has some compatibility which Macbook doesn’t offer as we see wide aspect can it match the level of Laptop in terms of all task which we use laptop.
• It is good to compare it with iPad lineup which has share same concept which make comparison very easy but iPad has many good thing like its Apple Pencil which is much better as compared to Surface Pen, iPad is so thin and light which very easy to travel, battery life of iPad is phenomenal as compared to Surface. But Surface it also many thing to compete as it has full functional Windows 10 working which makes it a PC in many aspects.
• Overall Surface Pro 4 is costly device to buy as it doesn’t include it Keyboard and Surface Pen which is very bad in terms of offering.
• Optimal arrangement of surface is with Core i5 and half the RAM and storage, for $999.
• The entry-level Surface Pro 4 comes embedded an Intel Core m3 processor,same amount of storage and memory $899 which is very poor specs in terms day to day works that not mean watching movie or surfing internet.

Surface So Far

Microsoft reported its first quarter earnings figures yesterday. It was a great quarter for the Surface Pro 4 tablet and the hybrid Surface Book. During the first quarter, revenue for the Surface unit rose 61% in constant currency.
