What To Expect With iOS 10: The next iOS release is on the verge of launch and expectations what will new in next iOS. As stages are set at the Bill Graham Auditorium San Francisco only 2 days is left for Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. iOS is completing a decade of update since the launch of first iPhone since there it never looks back series of upgrade and enhancement are taking place. As iOS10 being tenth installment there are major expectations from this release as iOS has design overhaul in recent update on iOS 7 in 2013. By enhancing user experience and make more accessible to use is the job of Apple.

Summing of from previous update we have seen features like Continuity, Handoff, Split Screen, Picture in Picture, Air Drop, Apple Pay, Metal, Night Shift, Proactive, New Spotlight search and much more. So question arises what is the next step for Apple to enhance the user experience so it can help them day to day activity. So let see what will happen in the next iOS update.

What To Expect With iOS 10 ?:

iOS 10 New Name:

• Rumors suggesting that next iOS will called as iOS X as like OS X which also receives new name as MacOS. There still rumor about so it not expected that iOS will receive new name. For now we can say it as iOS 10.

  

iOS 10 Performance Enhancement to Older Devices:

• Apple is always trying to get ahead by destroying the experience of older devices which is become laggy and slow. Even recent update iOS 9.3.2 is still not perfect in iPhone 5s and older, iPod Touch 5th gen and iPad Air and Older. Surfing UI is laggy and sometimes it makes user angry to use the OS. So Apple has to enhance the OS experience in overall UI if not they will have to pay for this.

iOS 10 Siri should more Serious:

• Apple’s is lacking behind many other voice assistance like Cortana, Alexa and Google Now. Apple introduced Siri in 2011 along with iPhone 4s and from there Siri has get some enhancement and make over but it still not perfect in all terms.
• WWDC 2016 is based on Siri event in which Siri is some serious makeover to fight with other assistant. It may happen that Apple may open SDK for Siri which means that developers has power to enhance Sori and make it more personal than any other Assistant.

  

• By allowing SDK for Siri may opens many gates to developer to add tweaks to Siri. Examples are if you will like to book an Uber you have to perform certain step if Siri get this ability to book uber over your request isn’t amazing no need to do the steps to book Uber.
• If you want to buy a pair shoes from Amazon and Siri will open Pair shoes in Amazon and make you to only choose. There are endless possibilities and one may be if Siri call emergency number and talk to them emergency can save many lives.
• Apple is working on the iCloud Voicemail service so Siri is able to answer calls even if are not there and can reply to soon to get to them. Or in the scenario of driving Siri can reply other User about it so it can reduce traffic accidents and more to expect.
• Apple has certain purchase for Siri in past year to make it a perfect AI so this year may be getting update about that.
• Giving Siri a command and time based task is also added so if user want to send email at night even he is not there Siri can do work for him.

iOS 10 New Music App:

• Apple has said that they will redesign Music app as Music app has received several design overhaul but still it is hard to use for all. So Apple is trying to make the whole UI simple more accessible and easy to use by anyone. Apple should remove connect feature which allow user to connect to artist of their like.

  

• The new UI has some basic elements which is applied to overall UI. Apple may added new 3D Touch feature in music apps with some important gesture.Apple also add removed lyrics feature as requested by fans. And may allow implementation of Siri in different way can make music app more useful.

iOS 10 3D Touch Shortcut Improvement:

• Apple introduce 3D Touch with recent Apple iPhone 6s which works according to force gesture. So Apple can make 3D more remarkable by adding more gesture to UI which may work more than Peek or Pop or Shortcut Opening. Implementation of 3D Touch in Control Centre to trigger certain apps is much easy and loved. There are more possibilities in it to add this gesture.

  

iOS 10 Capability to hide Stock app:

• App may add this feature to next update it help user to hide or delete unwanted stock apps. If user doesn’t purchase song ps with iTunes Store there is no need for it, Watch app and more so it will add extra space to 16GB model devices.

  

iOS 10 Apple Pay:

• Apple Pay is much loved feature for user as over millions of people are using Apple Pay for daily basis. So enhancement to Apple is also needed. First of rumor uses is add Safari support as Safari is most secure browser integration of Apple Pay in it is necessary as it help user to pay very thorough their fingerprints.
• Apple Pay also allow to send money to people through iMessage which is most easy and convenient feature to have.

  

iOS 10 Split Screen View to iPhone Plus Models:

• Last year Apple introduce Split Screen view for larger screen iOS devices or iPad which uses this feature very nicely but there is less difference between screen size of iPhone Plus and iPad mini which has this feature Apple can add this feature to iPhone which really makes the device more multitasking.

  

iOS 10 Change in Photos App:

• Apple introduce Photo app from very beginning but make photo app to have capabilities to edit photo in iOS 8 but it still lack in many feature. Since Apple discontinued iPhotos App in both Mac and iOS photos app is still has that feature so Apple should make photos app more editing possible by adding brushes, EXIF info of image and more editing tools necessary so using many third parties app will less.

  

iOS 10 Dark Mode:

• In addition to Night Shift Dark Mode is much anticipated feature of iOS 10 as expected but rumors are suggesting that Apple will introduce in this update. Whole UI will receive dark mode with addition to all stock apps. Apple may also release SDK for to developers to get hand over it.

  

iOS 10 Maps:

• Apple tease that they will also make enhancement to the Maps App which allow developers to get into it so Apple Map also get some attention. As from recent update which introduce Transit Location, 3D View and more may getting more updates on it.

  

iOS 10 Compatibility:

• The first question arises with new update is which device is to support new update it may happened that Apple drop iPhone4S, iPad2,iPad Mini and iPod Touch 5th gen. While it supports device iPhone 5 and after, iPad 3 and after, iPad mini 2 and after and iPod Touch 6th gen.

iOS 10 iMessage:

• It’s over year iMessage doesn’t get any significant change as it most loved messaging platform among Apple user. So making iMessage more useful as it still lack in many abilities as Google’s new messaging platform Allo which has more nice and useful feature to so Apple has to put more emphasis in it. iMessage also add rich data sharing through it so it is more informative.

  

Stand Alone HomeKit App

Apple is likely to launch a standalone app which makes home device comes under one hood to user can easily control the home appliances. User can use all the Hardware control under one app so Apple should release this app so it makes day by day activity easy.
